I clean the "boogers" off but they just reappear a few days later. if I wait a while before I clean his nose, his skin will appear raw after I clean the boogers off. it almost looks like it forms a scab on top of his nose. I can't seem to get it to go away. is there anything I can do? should I be worried?

Our kitty Kelko has this, we've been cleaning out his nose for 7 years now. Don't be worried, he just has a runny nose like our kitty. I would possibly not clean them as much if they skin is raw, just clean them once a week or every other week because you are probably causing more harm then good otherwise. :) If you find a better answer that actually works let me know because we've been trying for 7 years and our vet says there isn't a lot to do other than what we've been doing all along. :)

Those are not boogers, your cat has acne. Stop picking at them or your cat will get an infection, that's why they scab over. If you want to be rid of the acne, talk to your vet.

Yeah, Skippy! Take those black boogers, still attached to the cat, down to your local Humane Society so they can put your cat to sleep to avoid a long, slow, painful & very certain death from boredom of pet problems!
