It is most likely your lower abs recovering from you changing your routine (did you start a new strength trainign move that included your lower abs?). The pain you experience when working a new muscle group is completely normal (when unworked muscles are worked they tear so they can repair themsleves - this is how they grow). This is the reason why you should only weight train every other day to allow a full 24 hours for this process to happen. Even though it hurts you shouldn't take too much time off from working the area - you can start working the area again after 24hrs. Since it's been 4 days, try easing back into wokring the area again to further strengthen the area.
If this pain is still throbbing after 5 or 6 days, an alternate diagnosis to your pain MAY be a hernia, so you should see your doctor.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

You added stress to that area and I'd ease off
for awhile till you feel better. If it is still painful
I'd see a doctor just to be on the safe side.
You can always go back to your routine and
don't over do it. Moderation is still going to
help you benefit your long term goal.
