well we found this place that was extremely run down so we spray painted it up. well we got caught and the owner of the property is a real hot head, and he wants to press charges. we might have to go to juvi(i doubt it) even though it is not that big of a deal. If they decide we must go to juvi we are planning to run away.should we do it...and also if we do do it then how would we do it, what would we pack, where should we go, and when should we come back? more info: we are all about 12 and 13 and we have no real "records" but we really need your honest opinion please. p.s. i put this under dogs because there isnt really anything to classify this under and we need a lot of answers very fast and this is a commonly looked at subject.

Don't run away.. that is not a good way to handle this situation.. chances are they are not going to put you in Juvi.. but if they do it will only be for a short time.. to the time.. and stay out of trouble from now on.. it will pass and you can say you learned a good lesson... It is not a mistake if you learn from it.. only if you don't.. People may not have the best things.. like you said the property was run down.. but it was still his property.. and it meant something to him.. you should not have done that... but if you say you are sorry and don't do it again then it will all be ok in the end... good luck... :)

No you shouldn't run away. You should tell the person that you are sorry and offer to paint the place for him. You are obviously scared of what he can do to you. What you did was mean and you have to learn to respect other peoples property. Even if you other friends that helped you spray paint the place disagree, you should at least offer to make things right yourself. The person you offended will appreciate that if you go to him honest and apologize.
If you run away where would you live? what would you eat? You cant get a job because you arent old enough. what if your parents report you being lost to the police? You will get in bigger trouble then..
Do the smart thing and just say you are sorry. I am sure you know wrong from right. You can correct what you did just by saying you are sorry and trying to help correct it.
The condition of the building doesnt matter, the building may be crappy, but it is HIS crappy building, NOT yours! You need to do something honest to make up for what you did. The hardest thing to do is admit that you were wrong.
You will most likely not go to jail for it, if your parents find out, jail could be lighter for you than the punishment they will give you. Most likely your parents will be the ones who end up paying for it... You better just say you are sorry and offer to repaint the place!

If you run away, there will be a warrant out for your arrest. Go to juvi if you have to. It isn't the end of the world and only takes a couple months if even that.
But 12 year olds spray painting a fort?! No judge is going to bother with juvi. He would more than likely order community service *maybe* and reparations *most likely*. If that happens then go ahead and clean up whatever street he tells you to, and pay the idiot who is bothering with pressing charges whatever the judge orders you to.
Don't run away from your family though. There are alot of sickos out there who would kidnap you for their own pedophile reasons. If you dont' believe me then go to this website and just see how many of those pervs live around you..its disgusting.

I doubt that you are going to go to juvy for this. If you are remorseful the police, judge, or the guy will most likely take your apology.
Whatever it is face it, don't run away. Life as a teenager is hard enough than you want to add to it.. If you do go to juvy what you do a month or so......If you run away you have to hide all the time, no place to sleep, no way to eat, the worry that you put on your family, not to mention the weirdos out there ready to scoop up a couple of boys and put them in situations they could never even imagine.
PLEASE DON'T RUN AWAY. The things we fear are usually not as bad as the way we try to avoid them.
Face your fears boys.
Good Luck...

If you have no records, juvi shouldn't be so bad if they even consider it. Offer to do some community service perhaps painting something if not the ol man's place. You all can't really support yourself too long on the streets. It will only bring more trouble. You may get picked up my a child molester. If so, go to juvi. Been there, it was fun. Get to meet new people, learn things, eat 3 square a day.

You can't run from your problems it only makes things worse in the end.
First of all if they sentence you to juvi they'll take you straight from the courtroom so you won't have the chance to run.
And if you don't go to court you'll be in contempt and when you get caught you'll defineately go to juvi for quite awhile. As it stands now you'll probably get a slap on the wrist, probation and public service since it's your first offense.
I would apologize to the owner of the property IMMEDIATELY.Be respectful and sincere and listen quietly while he yells at you and tells you how stupid you are and then offer to clean off the paint or paint over it for him BEFORE YOU GO TO COURT and I"d do it in person to prove my sincerity and he may very well drop the charges.
YOU DID THIS MAN WRONG.YOU DESERVE TO BE PUNISHED.But remember he can't eat you no matter how mad he is at you and if you go apologize face to face no matter how mad he is he'll respect you.

first off if you run away that will only make things worse, that would be another charge, flight to avoid prosecution, and if you left the state then it would be interstate flight to avoid prosecution and then charged with runaway on top of everything else. If what you say is true and you haven't been in trouble before, stand up and take responsibility for what you have done. The court system will go easier on you if you take responsibility for you actions and offer some sort of restitution to the owner of the property. No matter what your partners in crime decide to do, you should do the right thing, it will pay off in the long run. Good Luck

My suggestion is to ask if you can tell the owner you are sorry, and take your punishment. Asking to make reparations for the damage done will go a long way to softening up the "hot head owner". The reason behind this is because your juvenile record will not follow you into your adult life, whereas making a big deal out of it-like running away, trying to avoid capture, evading the police-will ADD TO THE PROBLEM, not minimize it.

You're not going to get *** raped in juvie. And even if you were it's just little kids like you so they'll have small things you'll barely feel it. You broke the law and you have to pay the consequences. Running away is just going to make it worse when they catch you again. You did wrong. Admit it deal with it learn from it and move on.

the addage boys will be boys seems to apply here. you can offer to paint the place and let the owner know that you didn't intend any harm. No, you can't "run away". why? because my company isn't hiring 12 or 13 y/o painters right now. But you can sincerly appologize and offer to paint the place over. That should do it. Apply your self in school and stay way away from weed and people who smoke it or steal and work to get good drades and make your mother and father proud and you will be fine. It really is the effort that counts.
