She's opening the door for "some reason." I'm not sure what she's really up to - you know her better. What about your buddy though? How would he feel. If you're not sure, just keep it very casual til you can find out more of her motivations.

I think she is only interested in a friendship if most of her calls are about your friend. That would make sense seeing as she didn't want to hang with you... she probably feels lonely and has no one to talk to on the phone and wants you for some support.
I think if she liked you as more then a friend she would probably try to approach you or at least take every shot to hang out with you that she could; and since she didn't, I am sure she just wants to be friends.

You are only speculation whether she only wants a friendship or more. Must she hang out with your friends and if u categorise love as hanging out with your friends, then u stand corrected. Love occurs with two individual and not with a group. If u like her then reveal your intentions. Ladies hope that man takes the bold step so its for u to make the approach. Yes or no for an answer is no loss to u. If yes, then cherish it, if no, then u are free to make a choice elsewhere

This girl is too young to have anything in common with you. Gently tell her to find friends her own age. There is a good chance your son will move on with his life and not come back to her. Then what are you doing to do?

your question has some holes in it. Are you asking if she likes you more than the guy? Or are you asking if she is using you as a way to get closer to this boy. Who is this boy you are talking about that just left for college?

It sounds like one of two things:

1. She misses your friend and feels closer to him by being around you.

2. She's interested in you and wants to see if it will go anywhere.
**Be careful with this situation, run it by your friend if anything seems to be hitting off to see where his opinion lies**

By "my boy" I hope you mean your friend and not your son. If it is your son, you should be ashamed of yourself and find someone your own age. If you mean your friend...well then...she wants sex. She doesn't want to be your girlfriend...she just wants some attention.
