You are letting your imagination run away with you. In the first place, most of the southern United States were at one time part of Mexico. The people who live in those areas come by their language and their traditions honestly. So banning Mexican food and turning away from anything Spanish just doesn't make sense.
On second thought, you're just kidding, aren't you, to see if you can get a rise out of people?

So I take it that if we banned ANYTHING in spanish. Does that mean no more 911 opeators knowing to speak spanish so if their is some bio-terror attack we're somewhat screwed because the only person that called to report about a Anthrax Bomb was a person from spain & not some mexican who just wants a piece of the pie like so many illegal Irish immigrants in the late 1800s? No offence but don't we have illegal chinese & vietnese immigrants also? I really getting fed up with this thing because it's like anybody south of the border, even from cuba is taking the blunt of it while they're not the only illegal immigrants of that national. For once can I see the word in the paper 'Latino' instead of one national where they don't even make up HALF of the illegal aliens?

Why would I ban Mexican food? Because of the immigration issue? Last time I was in Mexico I couldn't find a taco or enchilada anywhere! All they had was hamburgers and steaks!

I'm learning spanish, not just for "those immigrants" but because knowing another language is an extremely useful tool and self-satisfying. Unlike some people, I like to communicate with others because I feel their input makes me a better human being, so no, I don't feel the same, quiero el pollo loco con queso y nachos despues un pequito de conversacion (gracias por la pregunta).

Well, I don't eat out that much but I do like authentic Mexican food. I make my own Tex-Mex enchiladas which I like from time to time. As for your question I more or less have accepted the dual language on the menu.

I can't eat much mexican food - only chips & salsa and seafood enchiladas. The beef in mexican restaurants makes me wanna hurl.

Never. I'll have a carne asada burrito, with a side of frijoles con arroz. Don't forget the guacamole.

You are going to miss out friend.

Don't tell me. You're one of those people who thinks you're going to live to be 100 by exercising every day and eating healthy. Guess what? You're going to kick the bucket just like the rest of us. Yes,Mexican food is greasy and high in cholesterol but it's GOOOOOOOD!!!
