We're in our mid 20's, She and I work together and have become more solid friends for the past 4 years. It's only been 3 weeks since she broke up with her boyfriend of 5 years. However, she and I have now been hanging out more often after work and on weekends. We're taking it slow and checking it out new restaurants together. Now that she's single, it seems like this huge wall's been knocked down and my heart's shining with new zeal. I care a lot about her, but I'm not sure she feels the same way about me. The only thing I'm sure of is that she really cares about our friendship. Somehow, I feel the only way for our transcend to a meaningful relationship is to let things go flow naturally and wait for her to signal me she's ready for something more. I don't want to be a rebound guy and am not looking forward to getting hurt. However, I feel she's worth it. I'm scared of heights, but I'm willing to climb up anything to be with her. anyway... what do you think?

Hey Ebones my brother. You answered your own question. ".....transcend to a meaningful relationship is to let things go flow naturally and wait for her to signal me when she's ready for something more, and yada yada yada." I totally agree with this statement. You have evaluated all the options here. 1-She cares about you. 2-You are close friends. 3-You don't want to be the rebound guy. She was with her previous boyfriend for five years. You mentioned it's only been three weeks, and she will definitely need some time. During this period of time, gather "intell." Do you know how to do this? Gather intell on if she has had any contact with him since the breakup? What she wants out of a future relationship? When will she be ready to look for love again? Okay. Just be her friend and love her. Don't start tripping and acting all weird. And please do not let your feelings show right away. Then, she may feel that you were being her friend to get into her panties and have wild monkey love with her. Therefore, you are doing the right thing. Keep doing it, and time will bring you two together. Send me a wedding invite okay?

I would take my time with her. A kiss on the cheek in a few weeks wouldn't hurt either. Also a few hugs either.
