I just answered this question....http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AnM.ZJlYZJSnf1X9XB9z437sy6IX?qid=20060824203055AAA8E0O and I want to know why hardly anyone is doing anything to find a solution to this big problem...it's affecting us so much but it seems like everyone is overlooking it. Does anyone else think the same?

I love some of the answers that you guys are giving. They are true....sometimes a child learns bad behaviors outside the home. In my answer for the other question, I said that if a child is not given discipline, it will affect their classmates because their classmates willl learn the bad behavior. And for the person who said there should be a license for giving birth or having children, I kind of agree. I think that couples should be financially stable and know how to raise kids properly before having children. But the problem with that solution is that it would be abusing people's rights to have kids. I went to Evergreen Girl's State and even tried writing a bill saying that couples have to be financially stable before having children but it was turned down. If it was turned down by a fake government than it will never make it in real government. Instead, I think it would be better if the law required all parents to take a parenting class. What do you guys think?

For what Carolyn said, it is very true that parents are leaving their kids at daycares, and this problem is only the tip of the iceberg of problems that parents have with raising kids. And I'm glad that you addressed the fact that many mothers are working because they are single and so cannot raise her children herself. That is why I think that couples with an unstable relationship should not think about children. They should be less selfish and think of what the child would have to go through without a mom or dad. Broken families often cause kids to go astray.

I think that many times it is out of our control. Kids learn many things outside home. Their parents contribute but to a part of their raising. This way, they learn many social skills and good manners with delay, since they have chosen to experience many things by themselves. And this is a big loss.

There are many facets to this problem. A huge part of it is the fact that a majority of our children today are being raised by their Daycare. Their parents have to work. In order to do that the children have to go to day care. The amount of time the parents are at home they are trying to clean house, spend time with spouse and children and get all those soccer games ect. in. It's difficult to instill any type of real connection with a child in 2 or 3 hours a day. The Other part of the problem is - well watch Super Nanny or Nanny 911. Either one you can see that parents don't have the time nore the copeing skills (and many times the energy) to deal with the childrens lack of dicipline, the attempts to control their world by out bursts ect. As a Day care provider myself I have seen the problem first hand. I can not instill my personal beleifs into a child as its not my right to do so. Yet, the children spend more time each day with me and the other children in my care than they do their parents on a daily basis! The parents are aware but haven't the time to realy do much about it. Then of course there are those that don't see the problem at all. The problem really stems from a breakdown of the family group. The nucleus of society is the family. And the family is falling apart because Mom has to work in order to feed and clothe her children. The family unit needs to be strengthened in order to resolve this problem. But with all the unwed mothers, divorce and working moms. It's not going to be resolved any time soon!

Personally, I like my idea of having licenses to breed. For example, upon birth of their child, mothers and fathers need to have on their person said license. And in order to obtain that license, a rigorous IQ test must be administered.

If the license is fake, then give them a different IQ test of the same magnitutde to ensure that they don't raise a kid that's borderline dumb-as$. If parents fail IQ test, child now belongs to government and up for adoption by foster parents who pass said IQ test. This oughta shut up those noisy-as$ kids while I'm trying to have a nice meal in a decent restaurant.

I think that there is not enough discipline. I work in a pediatric office and parents seemed to let kids run wild. I am a parent and there is a happy medium between loving your child and discipling your child.

nothing can or will be done ... God said if a nation gets morally corrupted and turns away from Him that He will give them women and children to rule over them .... the only solution is given by God also .... if my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear their prayer and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
