Get legal or get the hell out!

Why? It's the law. Plain and simple.

Everyone says they don't have a problem with Mexican immigrants, as long as "they're legal and speak English." However, it is not as simple as everyone thinks to gain U.S. citizenship and learn a new language.

They're just trying to make better lives for themselves. The U.S. has more opportunity for them than Mexico. I was explaining to someone else yesterday, as Americans we were born with tons of opportunity and the world wide open to us. Even if we aren't born into wealthy families, we can still get an education and make something of our lives. We're lucky to have been born Americans. People in other countries were not born with that same opportunity, so they come here looking for it.

Most people who are against illegal immigration have never taken the time to actually get to know those people they call "illegal." I have several friends who are trying to become legal citizens. They are some of the nicest people I've ever met. Just because they have been labeled "illegal" doesn't make them any less human. They have feelings, hopes, and dreams just as we do. They aren't animals, and should not be treated as such.

Illegal immigrants are here illegally. They're not an "immigrant", they're an "ILLEGAL"! Does ANYONE understand what the word ILLEGAL IS? It means NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE! They should NOT have rights, they should NOT have the right to vote, and they should NOT be able to wave their pathetic towel excuse for a flag in our country. They don't have ONE SINGLE right in this country - except to LEAVE. They're violating the law of the land and the policy of our nation. They should be shot on the spot and deported. They're swarming into our country by the thousands, as if we owe them something. The only thing we owe them is a bat to the head. PERIOD.

A while back, there was an immigration-overpopulation conference in Washington, DC, filled to capacity by many of Americans finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor named Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, Mexifornia, explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal - was destroying the entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Illegal or legal I think there needs to be more guidelines set. I am not racist I just think there is a steady decline in our societies values and beliefs. I am Canadian and I am proud to say that my country has 2 official languages not 102 just 2. If you want to come here learn the languages. The RCMP has a well respected and recognized uniform, if you want to join the force wear the uniform as is, in other words you choose the unifrom over your religion, our national anthem is stand on guard for thee, accept it or don't come here. Like I said I am not racist, how can I be I am not a Native, I can say my family does date back to one of the first families to settle here though. i am all for multiculturalism don't get me wrong, I just think there should be stiffer guidelines and harsher penalties in regards to immigration as a whole. With that I guess there woud be more illegal immigrants but then when they are found ship them back. No questions asked. the fact that there are Dr's who come here and have to wrok as dihwashers is ridiculous. But then there are criminals who are here illegally and claim political assylum and they get to stay on a "free ride". Gimme a break.

The term "illegal Immigration" is self explanitory. I view it the same way I view any other crime; it should be dealt with in the manner prescribed by law. Hint: illegal means it's against the law. A crime. What don't you understand about that? What about that is so hard for all of these bleeding heart liberal blabbermouths to understand?

I believe that illegals like ppl wanna call them deserve to be here because they built the building that yall be on and if it wasnt for illegals us citizens will be holding the minimum wage jobs, also there are alot of illegal that do wanna come and actually help out their families, yall sound all racist so what im about to say next please dont say of it as a racist remark but yall dont see hispanics raping, killing, kidnapping, becoming a sniper, declaring a company bankrupt and robbing thousands of dollars, yea there are a few rotten apples but all other races do have way more than that

What are your thoughts on Illegal Immigration?

I think we need to stick 2 Army Division's on the border with mexico with shoot on sight orders. Additionally I think we need to send the Government of mexico the bill for taking care of it's citizens in our hospitals, schools and of course our prisons :)

Why?

Because I have enough illegals mowing my lawn on the weekends.

Anyone has the right to become an American Citizen, but people don't have the right to get money from the social system here without being a citizen.

I am disabled, and my disability has been cut in half because of programs that being cut in order to give more money for people that are not even citizens.

Consider the people who waited for years to get permission to emigrate to the U.S. They learned the language, they took the classes. They couldn't wait to be sworn as citizens and begin contributing to this country.

The Mexican refugees, yes refugees, tend to be from the lowest levels of Mexican society. They are not professors and engineers. They are farmworkers, fleeing extreme poverty. They are right next door to a better life, and they break our law crossing the border without permission. From their point of view, there is no choice at all.

Tell me honestly.... if you were born into a poor Mexican family, would you try to escape? I sure as hell would. But I wouldn't expect the U.S. to yell "olly olly oxen free" and let all of Latin America come in, either.

It's an ugly question and there is no easy answer. ANY answer is going to hurt a lot of people. Be ready for that.

I feel bad for them because they're trying to survive, on the other hand, it's not fair to people who have to go through the proper channels to come here. I have a problem with them not paying taxes, and I know a few who do, but a lot of them don't too!
Border security is a big problem that needs to be fixed YESTERDAY because some terrorist cowards want to destroy our country. (I know those hijackers came here legally, but should we wait til they sneak in illegally and blow something up?)
