Asking an honest question became bashing about the same time that people who claimed a right not to be offended were tolerated by society. Of course, there is no right not to be offended, but try to explain that to the anti-fans of Janet Jackson's Superbowl performance, among others.

I read your question but none of the answers that followed.
You sounded angry in your question and this will inevitably rile the jerkazoids out there in computer land to slap you around.
For your honest question there will always be some mud flinging because of the diverse beliefs or unbelief's that are reflected with this media.
Next time take this sage advise from a very wise person...
"Eat the meat and spit out the bone."
In other words ignore the jerkazoids and receive the honest answers.
Good luck

Hey, I'm with you in how you feel, but own up to your question. Simply because it's worded as a question doesn't mean it's honest. Your question was accusatory and assuming. The question answered itself.
By the way, did I say I'm with you? You'll do more damage being outright honest. Even a little mischievious.

Asking an honest question is "bashing" when people who ascribe to the political correctness mentality feel uncomfortable about your question because it causes them to have to examine themselves in the light of truth and they don't like what they see.

I have no more shoved my religion down your throat any more than you have buzzed me with your Wicca Broomstick.
BTW: Is Broomstick "cruise'n" still permissible?
I'm just curious. Don't tout your Wicca babble on me, and I won't preach The Holy bible to you. :)
See, we can play in the same sandbox afterall.

Why does it matter to you so much? Why are you here? Some are here to learn, some are here to teach, some are here to have their opinions heard, some are here to ask thought provoking questions, some are here to chuckle, some are here to hate, some are here to troll. Everybody's here for a different reason. There is no best answer for your question.

It's not bashing...although perhaps it could have been worded more tactfully, you had every right to ask the question.

Where ever you go, what ever you do, your bound to learn something whether you want to or not. The Q may be senceless.
