No, when going to see a physician regarding depression the doctor will talk to you and ask about your problems and what you are feeling. He/She may also give you a questionaire that will rate your level of depression. Unless it is warranted, a drug test is unnecessary. But, you will want to be honest with your doctor about drug use since some medications can alter the antidepressants and may cause horrible side effects.

Sounds like you are concerned the doctor may pick up the use of other illegal/street, drugs.
Depression can be treated with medication but I have never heard of a drug test for depression. Only for the use of steroids or other drugs.
IF you are using other drugs or medication and feel depressed, you know you have to be honest with your doctor. Anything you tell him is confidential. And, if you expect the doctor to treat your correctly you need to be HONEST
