If you eat about 3500 calories more than you use... you will gain about a pound in weight. From "Nutrition Facts" label on the butter in my frig, a stick of butter has 800 calories, 80% from fat. A stick of butter weighs 1/4 lb.
That means that without compensating exercise, eating a stick of butter adds about 1/4 lb (800/3500) to your body. That is almost exactly 1:1... meaning the weight of butter you eat is what you add.

Since butter is 100% fat, you'd gain ounce for ounce the same amount of wieght as the amount of butter you eat, i.e. 4 oz.

Its not to relavent as to how much it will make you gain , its more of a concern as to what type of weight it will encourage. Most butter today has artificial colouring, high salt content(most)and is not a useful source of healthy weight gain.

It won't make you gain anything if you don't eat too much of it or any other food for that matter.
