A true God is allways visible and hides from no one. A true God takes charge over all that is his. A true God does everything and needs no one else or thing to do for him. Where is the god of the Jews? We want to see him and meet him. Lets look at it logically. Moses was the #1 sorcerer in Egypt. He led the Jews out of Egypt and used his knowledge of sorcery to create a new nation. Everything about the bible revolves around Moses. Moses gave them the 10 commandments. Moses led them to a new land. Moses just used his knowledge or sorcery to lead his people else where. Today what most doctors or scientists practice at that time would be known as sorcery. So where is God?? Oh God where are you hiding. Peek a booo where are you? Are we playing hiding go seeeeeeek? When will the game end?? We and I mean Quatrillions to infinity across the universe would like to meet you. Or are you like the infamous Santa Clause that parents say to there children ""Be bad and Santa bring you no toys"".

Perhaps your sorcery claim would be stronger had this been said while Moses was alive. Unless you want to say Moses is still alive and controlling things (in which case I guess you could then serve him as God) this claim falls away. There are to many predictions in the bible that only God could make.

God says that Jews must let their lands lie fallow every 7th year and they will get extra food so they would survive. If this wouldn't have happened then they would suddenly know it was all a hoax. The Bible identifies the only animals with only split hoves and only chews its cud - animals forbidden to Jews. It could have just left it out but no, it was written. Why? because only God would know all the creatures and that no other will be discovered.

The curses in the bible have been fulfilled, Israel was conquered, the Jews are few in exile, yet survive - all this was predicted by the Bible, something only God could have done.

GOD told Moses to take the Hebrews out of Egypt. GOD gave Moses the strength to perform the "sorcery" that you so call it. GOD gave Moses the Ten Commandments. Obviously, you have not read the Bible.

GOD is the One who flooded the earth and commanded Noah to build an ark. GOD is the one who turn Sarah into a pillar of salt when they were trying to escape Sodom and Gomorrah.

GOD is the one who let Jesus raise Lazarus from the dead. GOD is the One who let Mary have an immaculate conception.

GOD is the One who created the universe, and GOD is the one who created YOU.

Read the Bible, and get back to us.

The Jewish god is the Christian god is the muslim god (and the sikhs believe we all share the same god, so you can count us too, hell count the Zorastars and Bahai too). First off Moses wasn't the number one 'sorceror' his older brother was. As well the thing is if you could see God, then faith wouldn't really matter and such. I'm saying all this as a pseudo-atheist/Buddhist with a lot of Sikh mentalities (having been born Sikh). Actually just call me a deist. I believe God was responsible for the creation of the omniverse, and didn't seed some with life and affect stuff, just let stuff be (think a giant ball of energy that is conscious but not good nor evil, nor lonely or anything, just a conscious 'ball' of energy). In my belief system, God is everything and everyone. In the Jewish belief system God doesn't reveal his true form because it would kill the animal/human viewing Him as a result of all the awesomeness within a single corporeal entity. Actually your last little ramble about Santa Claus reminds me of a very funny atheist saying "God is like Santa Claus for adults."

I think you need to investigate what, who, etc. God means to so many different people and their religions. Why do people belief in God or similars, spirit, light, higher intelligence, energy, divine force etc.
When you start there, your question becomes irrelevant. You'll realize, these are stories written eons ago to teach somethings. Do's and don'ts, morals, so man does not destroy himself. The Jewish Book was written by man out of their experiences,or remembering, probably not at all factual, nevertheless they used stories to teach the next generation. In Judaism God is in History and no one can capture the spirit of History except in moments of realizations, cognition, thru study, and investing your time into History. What you'll come across in the process when you meet the past spiritualy is called an encounter with God in the present. You can not stay in that state of mind for very long, and so God goes into hiding. The stories are methaphores for what man experiences in life. Therefore there is timelessness attributed to the Bible and God. And that is why Jews will never let go of their History, or stories, wether they are true, correct or not. All they have to do is beliefe it, and if enough people beliefe it, it becomes so thru agreement. If you know your past, you know where you are going, if you belief it. And nothing seems so clear as the belief of Isreal being the land of the Jews, and being lived out after 2000 years in exile..... today.

Can I ask you some questions? (which is silly because I'm going to ask it anyway) Why are you so angry at God? Are you really interested in an answer, or are you venting and baiting other people to get a rise out of them? If you're so certain that God doesn't exist, why did you spend so much time taunting Him? If He does exist, was this a wise decision to make. I could spend hours answering your question, but I fear you'd reject the Truth based on your preconceptions and closed mind. I wish you well and long life.

The Lord God moved as a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night as the Isaelites moved through the desert and yet they still rebelled at Mt. Sinai.
Jesus lived among the people and many still rejected Him and killed Him.
The Lord has interacted with man since the beginning with Adam and yet people still sin and rebel.
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. To call Him a coward denotes the epitomy of a fool.

"most doctors or scientists practice sorcery" what???? It sounds like something or someone from the christian church disappointed you and now you suddenly have no direction so you are just making things up.

to quote a more modern prophet "open your eyes and look within." that's where you'll ind the Divine.

btw I'm endlessly amused by those quoting the New Testament to answer a question about the God of the Jews. Not that Bob Marley is better....
