Have you visited the open house tour? What did you think of it? Are you a member of that church? What comments do you have about visiting there, generally? Did it change your views or knowledge about that church/religion before and after your visit?

I went 2 weeks ago with my husband (who had been baptized 2 weeks before) and my best friend and her family (who like me have been LDS their whole life). It was so beautiful! One man who was there was a pastor of another religion. He said "I never realized that you guys were really Christians" I guess all the pictures of Jesus made him realize what we were all about. It was also great because it showed that what we do in the temple is not some big secret.

Temples are beautiful sacred places to the LDS people. The biggest thing to remember is that we are Christians, the foundation of our church is the Lord Jesus Christ. There are so many misconceptions about what goes on in the Temples, more than likely if you've heard something that sounds very strange or bad about the temple or the church in general, it is not true.

Hmmm... not quite. Jospeh Smith isn't the foundation or corner stone of the religion. Notice how the name of the Church is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" not "the church of Jospeh Smith"

Anyway... the temples are beautiful. I learned a lot on the tour. No pressure- I didnt' have to give anyone my address or even my name. I have seen the temple in San Diego, as well. So cool. Wish I could have seen the inside of that one.

I've never been in one even though I am LDS and active, I know how sacred they are. I had the pleasure of working on the Idaho Falls Temple when it had some renovations done to it. Anyone who walks through the temple before it's dedication really will see how much we do love the Savior.

Those temples are the biggest waste of peoples money I've ever seen.
LDS's have so twisted the Word of God that they dont know which way is up. To found a faith on a man like Joseph Smith is an immediate red flag. Smith used witchcraft techniques to come up with his book of Mormon as he was trying to justify his sexually deviant lifestyle through polygamy.
The thought that LDS's can baptize the dead in the temple is a complete heretical doctrine devised contrary to scripture.
