Acne generally clears with age. In the meantime there are OTC creams you can use.
Priority is to keep your hands OFF your face. Wash it with soap and water twice a day.
Notice what foods make your face break out more and avoid them.
If you are really worried, see a physician. For females, the use of certain birth control pills has a tendency to clear the skin. But if the infections serious, only a physician will know what oral medicines will work.

For all the fancy stuff on the market, I still think benzoyl peroxide is the best. I have heard very good things about Proactiv as well.
For cleansing, I swear by plain old Noxema.
I also think drinking a lot of water contributes to healthy skin.

steam your face (it opens the pores) then use a mud mask to lift the acne, then rinse off the mask, apply cold water then an astringent.
I used to like stridex and clearasil but I don't know if they're still on the market or not. Just to keep perspiration and grease away I use rubbing alcohol (not near the eyes) on a dry wash cloth when I need to as well as under make-up.
