I suppose it matters on the amount of funds needed.

First make an announcement to the general congregation and the sunday school of the amount that the youth group needs and the purpose of the amount.

Then take up a special offering for this. Most people will support the youth groups efforts.

We have done this and special dinners. Spagetti dinners are easy and so is breakfast for dinner. Pancakes are super easy to make and keep warm and fresh. Do not put a specific price on the dinner, just leave it open for donations. This serves two purposes. One it leaves no one out that may want to fellowship on this night and might not have the funds to pay an alloted amount. Two it leaves open the way for some to give more than you would have asked to start with.

You will be serving God by allowing all in without a set price and he will bless the event with people who will give more.

I am not sure where you are at or if you have this here but we have something called Nelson's here. It is the most wonderful barbecue chicken in the land. They also have ribs to I believe. It is a great fundraiser and they normally have them every weekend here with different groups. You might be able to find something like that near you. It is also getting close to times like Thanksgiving and Christmas so maybe you should find a company that does fundraisers and sells things people can use as decorations or gifts for people. I also know that Avon does parties as fundraisers if you know someone that sells Avon. I just started selling it and I remember it from training. Good luck!!

Do a 50/50 Raffel. 50% $ money goes to prize winner 50% to your youth group. Have them sell tickets to those they know, at church out side of Grocery stores.

A car wash.

A bake sale at the church one sunday a month...

Do yard cleaning for elderly people especilaly with the fall coming up... and those leaves.

Sell those coupon books for Papa murphys they do that for groups...

Hold a free car wash. Yup, I said free. Except you'll be getting the congregation to sponsor each of the youth with a per-car rate. "Bill" the congregation after the car wash, and everyone in the entire church has a chance to get involved in youth activities.

Hear me through. Sell the kids, for every half hour charge $5 every hour $8 The "buyer" can have the kids clean the garage, mow the lawn, price stuff for a garage sale etc. I'd keep this in the church congregation though for safety.

When I was a teen our church youth group made pizzas and sold them. We had an assembly line and packaged them ourselves. fun.

You should probably just pray about it. What do you want money for? It is easier for a rich man to pass through the eye of a needle, than it is for him to pass through the gates of heaven. What are you trying to do?? go to church camp? you know that is just an excuse for youths to get together and have sex. You need to pray for forgivness.
