I think that God leads us to our destiny. Our destiny will then be our own doing, based on our decisions.

Yes....surely I do like millions others. But I do not believe to believe blindfolded. In other words, Destiny is a certain kind of blessing of God, but the fruits are apt only to those who work hard. No idle person shall get the benefits of anything just on the name of Destiny. If you wish to achieve anything you are bound to work then only Goddess Destiny starts to think something positive about you and your efforts.

yes, but not in the "normal" definition.

I believe now that prior to life, we have lessons to learn, and we choose which ones to work on. Much like in college when you choose a major.
Circumstances out of our control once we are here (environment) and choices that we are presented with in life are our doing before we re-enter the life stage. What we do with our choices is the degree of learning that we take with us.

One interesting theory that I have read of lately is that homo-sexuals are a result of a spirit being embodied in the flesh of the opposite too many times, and the soul remembers the previous circumstances and naturally goes to it again.

EX. A lesbian was a man for several lives, whereas, lives are supposed to be alternating, and as such the soul remembers the nature of being a man.

I'm quite sure if a crack head didn't choose to smoke crack, he wouldn't be a crack head. The choices we make determine our destinies. So yes we are arbiters of our destinies.

I think life is what we make it if we just sit back and wait for destiny to do everything why bother making an effort.

I believe in alternatives and the resultant choices. We map our own destinies and walk the paths we choose. Life itself is fluid and in constant flux by its very nature, it could never be pre-ordained.

in the Matrix, the Oracle asked Neo if he believes in destiny.
Neo responded "No, because I don't like the idea of not having control of my own life."

I believe everything happens for a reason. The job we have, the people we know. The things we do.
