You PRAY? Then you're no atheist, Joe. Atheists have proof that God does not exist. If you are praying, you are at least agnostic, but probably a believer.

To answer your question: Have you accepted Jesus as your savior? When you accept him, he will call on you. If God won't speak to you, it is because you approach him in pride and defiance.

As for death being easier than living, how do you know? You are living. None of the living knows what death is like.

Prayers do get answered. If YOUR prayers aren't getting answered, it is because there is something major in the way between you and God--something that you are putting in the way. Atheism is something in the way between you and God.

God will give you what you ask. But you must ask. And your asking must be in earnest.

First of all you are not listening! That may sound harsh but evidence of God speaking to you exist in the form of the Bible. He has called on all of us to do something and that is to accept him as your savior. If you missed the call it was because you were not willing to listen. Death without knowing knowing Jesus is surely much worse than anything that you can imagine and you don't want to go there. As for unanswered pray you have misunderstood the deal. When you ask God gets to decide if the answer is Yes!, No! or later when you have learned from the experiences he is providing! Frequently you don't like the answer so you assume that he has not answered. That, ask and you shall receive thing is real. It is just that you receive his answer which is not always what you wanted. If these are really you experiences you should talk to someone who really dose know God.

God does speak to you- your just not Listening.
Jesus may not have called on you to do anything bcuz youre an atheist.
Death isn't easier than living. Youre just not living happily.
Your prayers do get answered, youre just not being humble enough.

Don't take your own life, your here for a reason. When you were living in the pre- existence, you chose to have a life, youre just not supposed to remember any of it until your time is up here on Earth. Never think bad about yourself, What negative people tell you is a lie. If they say youre ugly, theyre wrong. Your prayers will be answered eventually, just don't be selfish with your words.
For instance, if you had to live with someone who was a total jerk, and no matter what you did, they continued to be mean, you could pray and pray all you want, and nothing could happen. You ould, however, pray for yourself to get along better with him/her. And sooner or later, you two could be best friends. You cannot just pray once about something and expect it to happen. It takes time and patience. Just think....it could be God testing your patience, waiting to see if you need what you prayed for enough to wait for it to happen.

First off, lets start with your name. "atheist joe". Judging from your question, I would say you are more agnostic. I say this because in asking "Why God won't speak to me?", to receive a valid answer would would have to, even if only for a split second, admit that there is a God who isn't speaking. And, to answer your question, He DOES speak. In fact, He has numerous ways of doing so. God can speak to us through His word, because He spoke it in the first place(2 Tim. 3:16), He can speak to us through the teaching of His word (as in church services), and He can use other people that are lead by His Spirit to say or do certain things that would affect us in a certian way at a certain point in our life. These are only a few. God can also audibly speak to us, although since we have something that the patriarchs of old didn't have in it's complete form (the BIble), this form of communication I believe He reserves for specific occasion, thus allowing us to live a live of complete faith. Also, Jesus HAS called called Christians to do many things, one of which is going out and spreading the Good News of Salvation(the Great Commision, Mark 6:15-18). And why is death easier than living? Well, because here on earth, Christians are constantly fighting a spiritual battle, and continually running a spiritual race. Of course eternity in heaven is easier! And why do prayers supposedly not get answered? They do! Maybe the fact that you are an athiest, or even an agnostic, might have something to do with that fact that all of yours might not be. Because how can one come before God their Father as an unsaved sinner, and yet ask something of God? Only by the grace and blood of Jesus, and in our acceptance of Him as our savior, can God look at us through Jesus' blood and see only good. Then, and only then, can we dare ask God for anything. Once we are His children, He is more than willing to answer our requests, in fact, He loves to! I hope this helps, God bless!

You say you were a Christian. Did you really know Christ? Or were you being tested by what some consider a "dry time" and fall away?

Why God won't speak to me?

Most likely because you wouldn't believe it was God. Also possibly because it might be such a powerfully experience you would no longer have a choice but to believe in him, which would contradict your free will. Last possibility is, your belief would bring him less glory if it was brought about in that way. He wants you to believe in him through faith first. It doesn't mean you can't reason it just means he's not going to make it super easy to belive in him.

Why Jesus never called on me to do anything?

God doesn't have people do things because he can't get them done. He has people do things so they grow and so he gets glory. If he made your "calling" to obvious you probably wouldn't grow much from it and he wouldn't get much glory.

Why is death easier than living?
I've never died so I wouldn't know if death is easier than living. I'd hate to try it and find out I was wrong.

Why prayers never get answered?

Prayers are always answered, they may just not be the answer we like.

"Wait" "No" "I'll do it another way"

As far as miracles not happening as often as a result of prayer. In our modern age Miracles often more easily explained. Just because something can be explained by science doesn't mean it's not a mirical of God. Because through, technology man is more capable now then before, God uses man more now to accomplish things that use to require miracles.

God doesn't directly speak to people. He has the preachers and the Bible.

Jesus called on you to do something. Read the Bible.

I don't think that death is easier than living. In death, a person is already undergoing the sentence given to him by God, whether he will be in heaven or hell.

I don't also think that prayers were never get answered. God has a better plan, which might not be the same with what we ask for. God knows what is best for us. His answers are either: No, because he has a better plan; Yes, because it is in accord with his will; and Wait, because it is not yet the proper time.

God didn't speak to me for a while. For some people he speaks and for others he shows things. He used to show things to me before speaking. Be patient. Also, death is easier because this world is more important because it's the period in which we most serve God. Some prayers aren't answered because it's not God's will.

if u r not a Christian, God may not hear you because He has to turn away from sin. Ask for forgivesness of your sin thru the free gift of the Life of Jesus, His death, and resurrection. You can't hear from God if He does not know you. Go to a quiet place where u will not b disturbed. Ask God to somehow reveal Himself to you if you truly want to know Him. All Christian prayers do get answered. The answer can be "yes" "no" or "not at this time". Living is hard because we are in a battle of good and evil. The devil is loosed in this world. One day he will be thrown into a fiery pit and will no longer bother us. Begin reading in the New Testament--we learn of Him thru His word, the Bible.

God is speaking to you, right now, you are just not listening, shh.
Jesus certainly called you to do exactly what he has called all men/women to do, follow his teachings and do as he did.
Death is not easier than living, certainly we have vivid pictures of many ways in which men/women die and none of it is easy.

Your prayers may be a miss, you ask for what YOU think you need or want, God knows your needs, and he supplies them accordingly.

Gratitude is the first step to hearing the messages and answers you speak of. Without Gratitude for that which you have now, how can you be grateful for that to come.
