How did early Christians and Jews of Bible times view birthday celebrations?
“The later Hebrews looked on the celebration of birthdays as a part of idolatrous worship, a view which would be abundantly confirmed by what they saw of the common observances associated with these days.” (1Cor 6:9) The Imperial Bible-Dictionary, Vol. I, p. 225.

What is the origin of popular customs associated with birthday celebrations?
“The various customs with which people today celebrate their birthdays have a long history. Their origins lie in the realm of magic and religion (Leviticus 19:26).The customs of offering congratulations, presenting gifts and celebrating—complete with lighted candles—in ancient times were meant to protect the birthday celebrant from the demons and to ensure his security for the coming year. . . Down to the fourth century Christianity rejected the birthday celebration as a pagan custom.” Schwäbische Zeitung (magazine supplement Zeit and Welt), April 3/4, 1981, p. 4.

I have read about pre-christian pagan birthday celebrations. But even after they were forcefully converted they still kept many traditions. Especially CHRISTMAS and EASTER. Look up Yule and Ostra. Both pagan hoildays originating from a pre-christian era . And they have alot of similarity to Christmas and Easter. The Church Adopted lots of pagan hoildays to keep every one happy.Oh I forgot to mention Halloween and its pagan counter part Samhain(pronounced sow-en or sow-in)

which is a lie holidays have nothing to do with a holly day and they call it holiday

Don't know where they originated from, but us Satanists celebrate it as the most important day of the year. Why wouldn't one celebrate his existence?
