not at all. Just make sure you budget your time and money and have the ability to schedule everything. Don't wait to the last minute to arrange everything. Don't let the stress get to you! CONGRATS!

You got engaged in July, and are planning the wedding for April, right? By my calculations, that's 9 months, and unless you're getting married in a very popular location, it should be ample time to plan any kind of wedding you'd like. I planned mine in 5 months. Congrats and best of luck to you!

Nope, it gives you PLENTY of time. Don't stress about it. Just make sure you have a place to have the ceremony and the reception (maybe it's the same place... ours was, made life easier) and the officiant you want.
The rest is easy to deal with.
Congratulations on your engagement and good luck with your wedding. And if you decide to show a "through the years" montage at your reception, make sure you check out Big Moment Films!

Nope. I got engaged October 24th and married Jan 14th. We would have gotten married sooner, but we were closing on our house and we had to wait. GO for it if that is what you want. We eloped to a beatiful chapel in Gatlinburg and let them take care of the details ( to our liking of course). Good luck and congrats!!!

Not at all. I planned my wedding in three months times. Have it planned in your head (most of us have had it planned even before we got engaged),make your lists and go to it. Keep good records (I kept a notebook and folder) and a check off list. Yes, it was stressful at times but the final result was worth it. YOU designed your day. Hopefully you have a supportive fiance and perhaps friends and family that can help as well but I did most by myself. : ) Enjoy!

i would say yes it is too fast because people say get to know your partner a little bit longer because you will eventually know one's true colors. BUT i am in an relationship for 11 months now and i plan on getting married next year or in 2008. so OF course i had changed my mind and say do it girl and congratsl

Not at all. If you are both fine with it and you can plan your wedding in under a year then go for it! There is nothing wrong with shorter engagements!
