Several members of my family have or had dark circles under their eyes for no specific reason. It's a some odd hereditary thing. It's not too bad but when we're tired, we look like heroin addicts. :(

if ur wearing glasses which don't protect u from UV sun rays, u will get dark circles, N not enough sleep also causes circles, crying is also part coz It will make ur eyes look puffy n dark..

I'm pretty sure that dark circles, chronic dark circles that is, is a result of vitamin defficiency. I can't quite remember which vitamin it is but making sure that you are getting the right amount of vitamins each day might be a solution.

i think circles are lack of sleep or stress because i know crying makes your eyes puffy.

Sleeping on your face at night could cause it or lack of sleep.
Try cool compresses under eyes.

for me it is my allergies and being really tired and i usually have really dark circles under my eyes. since i wear glasses it get worst sometimes.
