Toyota. it's the best brand for reasonable priced cars.

I work with auto guys and had this discussion with them when I was looking for a new vehicle. Basically, both are good. They hold their value well and are known for their quality; however, recently Toyota has been getting some negative press. I would check out what the alleged problems are. From what I've been told though - you can't go wrong with either - it's all a matter of personal taste - which is why I went Honda!

Test drive both. Which "feels" better?
Compare tires, mileage, condition of interior, paint. Does everything work? Check all knobs, switches, hood latch, trunk release, a/c, heater, radio, etc.
Compare the models...a Toyota Corolla is a low end model...not the same as a Toyota Camry.
Go to Vehix.com or Carmax.com etc to let them compare prices for you.
They both should last a long time and fairly easy to find a competent mechanic to help you make your decision. He will probably be doing the work on it later.

if u want the car to last for a long time u sould buy a toyota but if u just want the car just for show honda has better ones

Honda is a better car than toyota, but toyota is better than Nissan.

Honda. I had one. 150k miles... never ever broke down and never ever needed anything more than oil change and service. Its been abused and then some. Gas mileage is great too.

Some of their cars are good but you have to be careful when you buy any of them because some drivers like to race with them and you can find the wear and tear later.

I like Honda's Better but that is my opinion. They both last forever so whichever you like better.

110% HONDA! They run! forever and ever and are so great on gas......also better on the eyes!

honda they are much more gas efficient and they last much longer than any other car that i know.
