Yes, I think people in general get a kick out of being hateful because of the way society is these days. People like to look down on other people because it makes them think they are better than the next person. Its a damn shame that our world has so much hate and violence in it. All you have to do is watch TV and see what our country has become. What a shame. People used to care about one another and help those who needed it. Not today we as a society would rather kick em when there down.

I think coming from the former ultra conservative and fundamental ways anyone who didn't match my views was (according to my taught doctrines from birth) damned and wrong, I was automatically better. Given this state of mind and right to judge or pre suppose, as if god, I tended to be overly bitter to others and provoking, even though my scriptures told me not to, and I always found ways to justify my actions and had a scripture at the ready to prove my righteousness
in bashing I only sillouetted myself ... It's better the fool remain quiet than open his/her mouth and remove all doubt...
I would research your answers! lol I love research, I love the fact it usually means more questions, in which I think the ultimate truths are found, personal relevation and inspiration as you percieve it where you stand at that time. Later in life you may see it again from a different angle
example: flying from Seattle WA to South I saw Mt. Ranier totally different than from usual view on ground, and saw the bigger picture. It seemed less ominous and part of a greater chain of other mountains in yet a chain and group of land mass that forms N. America and is part of the 'ring of fire' globally around the Pacific Ocean. We don't know it all, we are always learning. Ever heard of the five smooth stones of liberalism? great reading
yes I tend to go with knowledge over faith/belief too Hey Bill Moyers is doing a really cool piece weekly on PBS with Fath and Reason, check it out! great guests and speakers from all sides and faiths, even agnostics or athiests. I really enjoy these pieces

I'm sad to say it is both! People have a destructive nature and this can be confirmed in the Word of God. Born again believers however have a new nature which is after the nature of God. The Bible gives a good description of natural man in Jeremiah Ch.17 V9 "The heart of man is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked: who can know it?" It is the nature of unregenerate man to be destructive in their attitude as we read in Romans Ch.3 V10-20. there are 2 natures in this world unfortunately!

Remember that people are here for different reasons. Many people are frustrated over something, and then they let some steam out here because nobody knows them. Here is also a lot of children.
Sometimes people get kick out of being hateful, but sometimes things are not quite as bad as they look when you see it first. Sincce we do not have voice here, some things can get misunderstood. Sometimes people do not think the reasons why otehr people are here to answer and question.
Just do your own performance, and try to be as good as you can. I think that we are here to help each other out.

The answer is Yes, people do like being hateful. With some it is their nature. They have little brains and very little morals. They have small, small minds.
Don't listen to them, just ignore them, they are never going anywhere decent.

People are "hateful" because they are afraid.
And if you gave me cause to wonder about your intentions, I'd examine your questions and a few of your answers.
But don't expect that from everyone. I tend to be the exception rather than the rule.

Unfortunately many people have not figured out how to lift themselves up. So instead they put others down.
As far as you go. I'll watch and see what there is to see.

Some people enjoy spewing bile and vitriol over as wide an area as possible. Nothing will escape their forked tongue

Some of them do. Why? To feed their ego. Because they feel worthless, so they crave power over others. Because they are turds. Any of the above will do.
