I am a lay chaplain at a hospital. We have folks of all religions, I would like to be able to give my Catholic patients a blessing in Latin. How do you say, "May the peace of the Almighty be upon you, and illumination fill your soul"?

I usually deal with Classical Latin translations but I've adapted the following to a Biblical style.
Requiescat super te pax Omnipotentis et animum tuum illuminet.

Look up the song Laudate Dominum by Helloween... i know the name is detouring.. i know... but get a translation of the words... the song is sung to heavy metal, but the singing alone would be grand for this situation... so ditch the metal for it.. i cant believe i said that. Download the song.

not sure how to say it but most of the churches in europe have lating blessings and preaching. so why dont u pay a visit there. i am sure they would love to help u

just say it in English, Father, or let your diocese give you a book of bleesings .
