He has tried to stop... and in the past he has done alot of things that hurt me REAL badly. tho I still stayed with him... My best friend is 24 he is honest truthful and reminds me of myself.. He is real and a great man. TRUTHFUL says it all... He recently told me he loves me. And that he knows inside I am the one.. B4 he told me this.. I felt pretty weird around my Best friend... I love my boyfriend, but he doesnt show.. me that he really cares about me.. from time to time he does.. what should I do... Should I leave my BF or give him another chance? Or should I try and risk it all the way with my Best Friend.. ?

I think you should leave ur boyfriend and give him another chance especially he is like you say a nice guy. Men that lie, drink, and smoke and you dont like it then you shouldnt be with them. I hope this helps.

By My Sainted Aunt Mary's Sacred Undershorts....dump your boyfriend--yesterday!!!!! From what I read, this should be a no brainer. Nobody should put up with being treated that way.

I don't think you should immediately jump into the 24 year old's arms, but after you tell the makebait 17 year old to take a hike, and you have given yourself some time to recover emotionally, then I would give the 24 year old a good, hard, look :)

He sounds wonderful, like a tall glass of ice cold water :)

Good luck Sweetie.

You listed all the reasons why you current boy friend is not a good match.

Yes, despite what people, books and songs say you can help who you love.

Dump that boy friend he is too immature

Take some time to heal your self and get you head on straight.

Then when you feel ready give you best friend a real shot at dating.

Tell him to hang out with you and be friends then when you feel you are ready ask him on a date or let him take you on one.

If he tells you that you are the one give him a chance to prove it.

I you truly aren't happy with your boyfriend then leave him. I'm 18 and we're too young to worry about long lasting relationships, so go have fun and see if you can find that one guy that really makes you happy. If it's your bestfriend, then so be it. I've seen a lot of older people get into the best relationships of their lives through friendship. So follow your heart, and see things a couple of years from now, not in the present.

You should let your bf go because nobody deserves to be treated like that, he should show you love all the time not sometimes. Take a chance with your bestfriend and see how things work out

You need to dump the bf. Now. If he doesn't respect you enough to be honest with you you don't need him. As far as the best friend goes... maybe you should give yourself some time not being someones girlfriend. Get to know who you are again. Just a thought. It sounds like you've already made up your mind though.

PLZ.... yet another instance of what my friends and I refer to as the penis-vacuum; childish 17-old treats you like his bench press, admirable 24-year-old honors you, and yet you feel pulled into the vacuum of the lesser man.
My most serious ex did me the favor of breaking up with me so that I'd grow up and come to understand that lazy & decietful self-indulgence do NOTHING to contribute to a functional relationship. Though I'll never be able to forgive her, nor will I be able to thank her enough; her and I remain the best of friends. My advice: do your man the courtesy of pushing him back into the pool so that he can remember how to swim before he forgets entirely and takes precius love for granted.

I would break it off with the boyfriend and take it SLOW with your best friend...this boyfriend of yours sounds like a really big jerk! and honestly, do you think he will change? does he even want to? Do you see yourself with him in the future? Would you want him to be the father of your children? I know those sound like crazy weird quesions but that is what you need to be thinking about! he needs to finish his little "immiture" stage...i mean, 17...he even has a ways to go! lol well, good luck to you and i hope you do the right thing! do what will be best for YOU because you are what matters!
