Read it carefully before you assume and tell me does Genesis state for man and woman to be fruitful and multiple before or after the fall. If the answer is after it then become entirely possible that sex was the forbidden fruit in which after they eat they realized they were naked. hhhhhmmmmm....never noticed that angle before.

dukalink6000, that would only make sense after so much of the earth had be killed off.

sparksalost, good eye ;) I must have some how missed it. I still think it is a creative possibility worth pondering.

Julzz, I also do not think sex to be a sin. I just want people to think outside the box. Is that so wrong?

I can at least say this. There was no mention of Adam and Eve procreating until after the fall still making this a possible scenario. Maybe the fall was part of God's plan all along. Sex was the cookie jar and Adam and Eve found it too inresistable as God knew they would. Don't take it all too seriously think, that is the whole point to this exercise.

Maybe God's command to be fruitful and multiple was not a command at all but an intention. If God is beyond time then it is entirely possible God did not tell mankind to multiple until after the fall, and after the flood. Maybe this was a test God knew man/woman would fail chosing to materially continue over remaining strictly a spiritual being.

Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
this was definitely before the fall.
I think you'd better rethink your theory :D

Before
GENESIS 1:27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."
29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day
So You see that he told them to be fruitful and multiply on the sixth day the same day they were created. The fall was at the very earliest on the 8th day but more likely it was YEARS later.

Gennesis 1 ; 27 -29 So God created man in his own image ; in the image of God he created him ; mail and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, "Be frutful and increase , fill the earth and subdue it , rule over the fish in the sea , the birds of heaven , and every living thing that moves upon the earth.
So you see it was after they ate the apple ( frute ) that they became inbarest for God to see them with on clothing on. Had nothing to do with having sex.

In Genesis, the "command" was issued BEFORE the fall. So sex is NOT the forbidden fruit.

The account in the Bible reveals that the fruit was eaten AFTER the command to multiply was instituted. Read Gen.1-Gen. 3

before! Honestly if we have an ever loving God then why would he make something so beautiful as lovemaking between two ppl who love him sinful? Perhaps people are the ones who put the rules on making love.......... Im not justifying premarital sex but perhaps thats where the temptation comes in. Sex before the commitment is dangerous but if you honestly commit/love and intend to be a partner in the relationship then perhaps sex is a gift not a devilish act

The command to be fruitfull and multiply was given to the living creatures in the water and the birds on the earth and was actually issued before man was even created.
The issue given to man and woman was that the man shall cleave to his wife and they shall become one flesh. The focus wasn't on the intercourse, it was on the unity and permenance of this union and the monogamy that was important within it.

Before the fall, he instructed Adam about the tree of knowledge.
He told Adam, and as found in the Bible, he told them both.
He also told them to multiply, he did not tell them to eat the fruit.
He told them not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and bad.
He told them not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and bad. BAD THING,
He told them to multiply (have sex to do that) GOOD THING.
I hope this does the job for ya Guy. Hope this helps.
