Some do and some don't.

I've met some Christians that are great to be around. They treated me just like anyone else. When we'd chat about our faith we might disagree on some issues but they were willing to live and let live. They were totally cool people.

By the way, I'm an Isian Witch.

Others are less tolerant. I try not to hang around them.

Unfortunately the intolerant ones tend to be the ones that scream the loudest.

In Matthew 7:11 Jesus said "if you then being evil..." the verse assumes that being evil is part of our nature as humans. Believers and non-believers all have the same capacity for evil. I think it is sad when Christians slander non-believers as if they were better or superior. The bible clearly tells us to slander no one and to be gentle and considerate to all. Many Christians believe in the total depravity of man. This belief isn't restricted to unbelievers but to believers as well. Unfortunately, believers can develop a sense of pride in their morality. This pride can cause them to look down on others and really slander them. This slander is a sin. So, I think Christians do this because it is a doctrine of the bible, but also pride causes slander, which is not intended or correct.

Christians assume this because all people at a very basic level have desires that go against what is "good" and "proper". Simply having morals and values doesn't really make someone righteous. Christianity exists because of Jesus Christ who had to die for sinfulness of all people, "All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God." But, through Jesus Christ anyone can have the gift of God, and that is being made right before God, declared righteous, and forgiven of your sins by, of all things, confessing you have sinned and asking forgiveness throught he sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Oddly enough, admitting you are a failure at living up to your morals and values and accepting your need for a saviour, being ruled by a Messiah/Christ who came as a child and died really only ministered for 3 years.

So, the impression you may get from Christians stems from a desire to live a holy life and I apologize if you feel looked upon as evil and immoral, but it may just be the conviction of the Holy Spirit telling you you don't measure up. None of us do. Only one man ever lived a perfect life, and acknowledging that is the first step to become a Son of God. It's not how good you are, or what you do, because it will never be enough; it ultimately comes down to Who you Know, and Jesus is the way, truth and life, the only way to the Father.

God Bless you in your search, my friend.

Praying for you.

Feel free to write me for more discussion.

Some christians thnk that anyone who doesn't go to church are bad, others think that you are lost and feel sorry for you. That's the way they are taught to believe, without constantly thinking you're not good enough and believing that you need constant forgiveness for everything you do then you are evil immorral or a lost soul. that's the basics as I was taught which is why i'm not christian.

first of all, I am a Christian and I don't think non-believers are immoral or evil, or even bad. Being a Christian is not about being perfect or not-evil, although i suppose being evil is not smiled-upon. I just think non-believers just haven't found the Truth yet. I'm not saying it's easy to believe, it really isn't. It's out of this world, and contrary to so many worldly things. But on the other hand, if you read the Bible, it just makes so much sense. Peace!

We don't assume nonbelievers are immoral and have no values. I know some Christians that seem to have low morals and non Christians that have very high morals.

The one thing both believers and non believers have in common is (Rom 3:23) for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;

Rom 3:24 being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

To ensure that what I tell is acccepted by my audience ( by hook or crook) I put certain restrictions, lay down certain rules and devise a followup activity with checklists. This is my profession.
In the same way what ever is taught under a religion should be implemented by the followers. To achieve this end I try to use invisible creatures, assign them super natural powers( coz we never know them) put restrictions on us in the form of myths, sentiments, culture, traditions- what not.
One who understands this concept like you will focus on morals and values rather than religion.

They are frightened of temptation, and so console themselves with fables of the evils of non-believers. Thus they talk themselves out of associating with 'our' kind, and without experience, never learn better.

Unless you feel a need to be judged by those who stereotype non-believers, let it go. There are a few (too few) enlightened Christians who recognize that there are many good people who do not believe in Christianity.

I hope you meet them.

true Christians believe that all humans are sinful and have done wrong things in their life. Just because you are a moral person and believe something is right and wrong doesn't mean you always do the right thing. the only difference is that Christians have accepted Jesus as their savior and thus have had their sins forgiven. we still do wrong things but we have the assurance that God will forgive us and give us the power to change.
