Think of it like this...you are walking into a room. You slit down, eat, watch a movie, listen to music.....in a room. When you leave the room, you are in a different place.

Flying is the safest method of transportation. Just sit back and let the pilots do all the work. When you get on a flight take some sleeping pills with you.

They still serve food on a plane? I didn't even think they had peanuts! Uhhh........Let's see........I would rather eat if I had a last meal........but the odds of an accident are rare. Even during an emergency situation. Besides. The airlines owe you some food if you're going to die on their flight. It's the least they can do. I'm too morbid right now. Sorry. You're in God's hands no matter what. O.K.?

There are specialized people that can help you overcome your flight-anxiety.
If you 'need' to fly, then i suggest you find one of these people and get help.
Otherwise, depending on the reason you fly, you could consider alternative means of travel, like train, boat or car.

They best way to take on a fear is to take it right on. Before I started skiing, I was very afraid of heights, but after, I'm very comfortable on high standing stuff. Before I went camping, I was very afraid of spiders, but after, I wasnt so much. Take flying in a plane on, yes, it will probably be expensive, but then again, getting a bunch of drugs to curb your anxiety will too, wont it?

See a counselor or ask your doctor to give you some valium for when you are traveling. The valium will calm you down, curb anxiety, and also help you relax on your flight.

I have a close friend with the same problem. She takes one valium before the flight (like about 20 minutes before boarding) and it helps her a lot.

Remember that you are still safer to fly than to travel by land. Thats what statistics say!
