You should be able to do all this at home:
1. Wash the infected area with soap and water as soon as you recognize that you've been bitten. Try to keep the site clean and dry until the irritation abates.
2. Avoid scratching. Although a mosquito bite should itch for only a few days, continual scratching will increase your discomfort and may prolong the itching.
3. Make a paste of baking soda and water, using just enough water to make the paste sticky. Spread the mixture on the bites.
4. Rub soap directly on the bite. This is an oft-repeated home remedy for mosquito bites.
5. Apply an ice pack or ice wrapped in a washcloth to the bite area.

Hi! Try mixing a litle cold water with a half teaspoon of baking soda into a paste. Cake it on and sit still so it can dry. If you don't have any baking soda around the house then try a tea bag. Make a cup of tea and let the bag cool down a bit after you squeeze most of the liquid out. Apply to the bite and relax with the tea. I hope you feel better soon!

Well, as a child I was taught this "in the field" remedy, and I have taught it to my daughter, and it seems to give some relief....
Hopefully you have fingernails. Take your longest nail and press hard twice, to form an indented "X" right over the top of it. It helps it to not itch for the few minutes you need to not be scratching it.
Does something to mitigate the histamine response, I think.
For any minor insect bite (this does not apply to wasps, bees) if you can avoid scratching it for the first five minutes, the histamine response has time to pass without you adding to it by scratching.

María,
Wash it with liquid soap
under cold water, gently
rubbing around the bite.
Then apply white vinegar
spot it on and on and on
and the itching will be gone
before you notice it,
Good luck.
Also, if you're prone to mosquito
bites, rub your exposed areas
with distilled white vinegar,
they hate the smell, and it
is a disinfectant as well.
Stay well!

Put a drop of clear nail polish over it. It will relieve the itching and the polish will flake off in a couple days.

if you have any tenderizer in the house, make a paste and put it on. it doesn't work perfectly if you wait a while, but still should be better than doing nothing. Keep it wet and covered, though, this is not a substance to put on once and it works forever.
