Are there any health risks in having a tub reglazed?

I was notified that after reglazing a rubber bathmat should not be used because it causes a reaction with the reglazing
What does this mean?

What I found: Bathmats containing suction cups will produce a reaction with the finish when subjected to hot water. In time, the suction cups will pull the finish off the tub.

The only health risks I found mention of was during the process of having the re-surfacing done. If someone is asthmatic or has respiratory issues, they should not be around the fumes during the application process. If you are doing this yourself, be sure the room is ventilated very well.
