To hit a fade, move the ball slightly forward in your stance. This opens the shoulders so the club approaches the ball from out-to-in, producing slice-spin on the ball.
Moving the ball forward positions it past the lowest part of the swing. A steep swing will cause the club to hit behind the ball, while a flat one will produce thin shots because the club will be coming up at impact. Keep this in mind, and try to sweep the ball off the turf. As with any new shot, practice on the range before taking it to the course.

the best way to hit a fade - I am a power fader myself and I watch a Tiger clinic and he explained it so simple that it was easy to learn - forget about ball position, just tee it up where you normally do - the first thing you want to do it tee it LOWER - teeing it high encourages a draw - aim your driver face like normal, forget about weaker grip/stronger grip - you want to stand a bit closer to the ball so that you are more upright and you want to open your stance a little bit - do not change your swing or try to do anything different - your stance being open a bit will bring the club along the perfect path for a fade and the fact that you're standing closer to the ball will stop you from twisting before impact - you will hit a nice fade, not a slice - trust me, it works, from Tiger's lips to your ears

Line up normally and then take a very small step back with your leading foot. Open the club face very slightly and swing normally. Gripping the club a little tighter will also contribute. Adjust all of the above until you have the desired ball flight.

Grip your club as you always do at address. If your right handed, twist your left hand slightly to the left so that you can barely see your index finger knuckle and swing normally. This grip will close the face when you make contact with the ball. Try is at the range

Wow, that's the 1st time I form of disagree with Caddyshack...LOL. His suggestion on taking classes is spot on, yet i'm no longer partial to looking a professional over the internet. consult with gamers who're a point or 2 extra advantageous than you're, and ask them for an instructor suggestion. in case you have no buddies in that realm of golfing, flow to a close-by making use of selection and seem for somebody incredible the ball properly and ask him/her for a suggestion. don't be shy, they're going to delight in which you're soliciting their opinion. Your project is led to with the help of in develop liberating your wrist lag. you're probable doing it with each and every club, however the outcomes of that action is maximum considered with a motive force. The query is why are you doing that? Caddy's drills would easily help, and would clean up the project. If no longer, get to a professional. in case you fairly need to get into the technical ingredient of the swing, examine out the reference.

if youre a righty then take your normal grip then make a peace sign with your index and middle fingers then swing. This alleviates grip pressure created by your dominant right hand therefore reducing your hook and creating a fade or slice whatever you want to call it

don't listen to the other answers those are all the hard way to do it a more simple way is just to take your normal stance and step your right foot back about5 inches and for a draw you do the same but with your left foot, then just take your normal swing and watch the ball fade!!

When u swing at the ball, twist your wrists outward so that when u strike the ball, the ball lifts into the air, gets caught in the wind and begins to drift.
