I am living in Los Angeles. A fruit distributor rents a warehouse that is next to my apartment. The fruit and vegetable have been perished and that distributor did not clean or take care the trash. After a few days, everyone in the apartment smelled and the trash is very stink. I want to know what I should do. I have tried Dept of Public Health in LA, but no use. Does anyone have another number I can contact to report such condition?

Try your city councilmember, or make a stink (no pun intended) in the media.

But did you just talk to the person who answered the phone at the dept of health? You should *never* accept the word of the first person who answers the phone. Ask for a supervisor, or someone else with obvious responsibility, and get their first and last names and direct phone number. If you don't get that from the person you're talking to, you're talking to the wrong person.

Do you have town counselors in L.A.? Maybe your's could help. Call a local news channel & have them come out, or a local newspaper. Just make a big stink about it. Sorry, I know that's not funny to you. I do hope you can get this taken care of!
