1. Write out the assignment
2. Start with either what is the hardest for you, like math or social studies, and get it done first.
Then move through your other assignments.
3. Read ahead in your text books so you know what's coming up.
4. Limit the distractions while you are studying.

It doesn't matter what grade you are in...studying is studying...first no radio, tv or cd's....complete quiet is the best way to concentrate. Make sure you have all the books, pencils, paper and anything else you need so you don't have to keep getting up. You might want to have a little snack handy and a soda or something to drink...again, so you don't have to get up. Set aside a certain time every day to do this and make sure whoever you live with knows this schedule and will make sure nobody bothers you...don't take any phone calls. Give yourself whatever time you need...one hour, two...whatever it takes...when the time is up put everything away and your done! good luck

Break up the material into chunks...or chapters, something like that. Then, quickly go through the main points of each chapter. Do this like 5 to 10 times. After that, take a 1/2 hr. break and then start again.

First stop playing on the computer, second, turn off the tv and the radio, third get a table with adequate lighting, fourth make sure you're not hungry or distracted.
