I'd feel bad that a decent person was denied a life in America, but what about the decent people waiting in line to get in legally?

I wouldn't report the illegal even if I wasn't saved by that person. And if in that situation, I would be mortified by them deporting the person right after saving my life. If they get caught any other time then I truely feel sorry for them and hope they can come back. Infact, lol, I know one that has been deported and was back in 2 weeks all the way from honduras. Now that is dedication. He only got deported because his girlfriends mother got pissed that her grandchild was going to be mixed and she accused him of drug possesion. He had never touched drugs in his life. Silly *****.

Personally, I am not in the habit of asking anyone I meet if they are in this country legally or not, so I don't think it would ever come up. If someone saved my life, I would thank them and be grateful. I would not look at them and ask to see their green card. . .
If he got caught while saving my life, well, that is the way things happen. If the person was here illegally he needs to face the music. Sorry.

Hell of course not, im not a tight *** bitter faced degenerate!
Come to think about it how would I know if hes an illegal or not, not unless we have a nice chat about his legal disposition in the country..but like you said "dangerous situation", so I suppose we wouldnt have the time to have a cup of hot coco and review his papers, would we?
If I had a car accident and I have children in the vehicle and "illegals" saved them from further harm, I would definitely owe them my own life..and ironically I dont think those right wing "lets keep to ourselves, it's not our accident" assholes will even think about lending a hand or a cellphone to call 911!
'Heinrich Himmler' is a ******* pre-pubescent bigot who deserves to be jailed or run over or die in a fire.

I never turned in anyone to be deported even though I saw times when I wanted to so I doubt that I would regardless. But on the other hand if they got deported because they were illegal and got caught helping me I would feel bad but it is still against the law to be here.

An illegal alien won't be deported even if turned in unless they are doing something illegal. Such as committing a felony.

No !
I would pay him back by sponsor him for H2B visa, so he can stay in the states legally. Getting him a job for three to six years legally..
That's long enough for him to save money so he can go back to his family in his land and family.
At least that's what I can do for saving my life.

Nobody should be allowed to come to this country illegally. So it's up to the govt to stop it from happening in the first place.
But if they're already here I would never report one, unless they actually commit a terrible crime or they're abusing the system without working or anything like that.
If the person who rescued me is wanted for a felony and I know it, I would report them, but definitely not otherwise. But I would at least try to find something I could do for their family as a sign of gratitude.

one of those moral dilemmas we are tested with thru our lives. NO, I would NOT turn him in. Watch 'gone in 60 seconds with Nick Cage. the end of the movie where he saves the cop's life who has been chasing him. I would make an exception. of course, depending if the guy was a convicted murderer or something!
