Quick synopsis: God created mankind to be the reflection of Himself here. When Adam & Eve disobeyed, the transgression hurt God so badly that He punished all mankind for several thousand years, but He still loves us, as parents do disobedient children. So God arranged to have Jesus, a true part of Himself, born as a man to sacrifice himself to pay for Adam's sin. The Crucifixion was the horrific method used. Now ALL sin is forgiven. All you need do is ask. If you need a Bible, go to any church. They will happily give you one if you ask. With guidance. May God bless your search.

It is the traditional guilt trip used by the church to control the masses. Apparently Jesus died on the cross because of our "sins", and not for angering the powerful religious leaders at that time for his heretical teachings. Somehow the church teaches that his death gives us eternal life, I have read the bible and can't figure that out either. The church comes up with all sorts of weird stuff not in the bible (like Stem Cell research is murder, abortion is evil, etc.), they don't follow logic or the scientific method that rational people do. They call ignorance and stupidity "faith", and that is supposedly a good thing.

Don't be forever Lost.
Jesus died on a Cross on Good Friday he decended in to hell on the third Day EASTER he rose from the dead and ascended into heaven sitting on the right hand ogf God the father. HE Suffered and died. But he knew that, His Father God told him this is what he was to do. As all people who Believe in Jesus, Believe that he truly loves us and therefore died for us will have eternal life with him....Do pick up a Bible. or better yet go ahead and go to church. There are kind friendly loving people in churches who want you to understand What Jesus has in store for you. And once you are saved by the grace from God. You will see that there is a new life for you...Go get it. Jesus made it for you...Just YOU! You can go to most Babtist or Bible churches any day of the week to talk with someone...Please do..

First, go get a Bible. If you love someone, you want to know all about that person right? You can't find out about God unless you read the Bible.
Second, the original plan was that if you sin you die. Of course we all sinned, so God made it so that an animal had to die in our place. The Jewish people had to sacrifice animals to repent for their sins. SOMEthing had to pay for that sin. But rather than continue on that way, Jesus came and became THE once-and-for-all sacrifice for our sins. Rather than having to be punished in hell for our sins, and instead of having to sacrifice a life to show we were repentant, all we have to do now is make an honest effort to stop committing those sins, accept Jesus as our sacrifice and repent by praying for forgiveness.

Say you go go Court and the Judge gives you the death penalty. You be freaking out. Then someone that feel sorry for you, steps forward and says; "I will die in her place, for her crime"! The judge asks you if this what you want, that person to take your place or you die for your crime; which do you pick?
This basically what Jesus did. God had said that the penalty for sin is death. Jesus came forward and said; "I will die in their place".
I not sure a person can be a Christian, if, they not understand why Jesus had to die for them. But, I guess if you trust Jesus to save you. You will be saved, may not have to understand. But, the Bible provides you with much more understanding and comfort. You really should try reading it. Just do not start with Genesis, those Begets will make you lose interest fast.

He died for you so that you and God could be reconciled. He died for your sins, past, present and future. There are the ten commandments. I bet you've broken a few. Have you ever lied? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever looked at someone with lust? Well already if you have you're a lying, theiving, adulturer at heart. Well, that's where Jesus comes in. He died for your sins that you will commit, because we all live in the flesh, which is sinful nature. He knows you can't be perfect and that you'll sin on accident no matter how hard you try. If you believe that Jesus died for your sins, and ask for forgiveness. Then believe that he has forgiven you becuase of your faith and confession. Then ask him to be Lord of your life and follow wherever he goes. You are saved. Then when you sin again, because you will sin. We all fall short of the glory of God. Ask for forgiveness again and try your hardest to not sin again. You will though, but try to live a life of Christ. Jesus is your savior. He didn't make it so we would have this generation alive. He made it so that you would never experience death. Hell! You will live forever in Heaven! Go to this site, it's a love letter from God. It is very touching and I cry everytime I hear this letter. fathersloveletter.com click on listen then click on listen online. God Bless you!

Ok Jesus is Gods son. God sacrificed Jesus on the cross to take away your sins and to be able to have second chances. ok there is a verse that is in the Bible its John 3:16 it says "for God so loved the world that he sacrificed his only beloved son, and who shall forever belive in him shall not perish but have an everlasting life." This means that since Jesus died for us, we can go to heaven. and before that we couldent also if you want to be saved you dont have to go to church even though you should all you have to do is accept him into your life and let God take you as your Father or your creator and just listen to him because as you become a christian he will talk to you well i guess that concldues what i am saying thank you.

To be a Christian you need to understand that all people sin.
The punishment for sin is death.
Jesus was prophesied many times in the old testiment(before Jesus) that He would come and save man from sin.
Jesus never sinned but was willing to be tortured and crucified for man's sin.
All you have to do to be a Christian is accept Jesus as your savior from sin.

Romans 3,6,10
Ephesians 2

First, please get a bible. The Word of God is living and you need to read it to hear what God has written to you. Second, God from the very beginning showed that there needed to be the shedding of blood of a perfect lamb for the forgiveness of sins. That is his requirement. Jesus said He is the Lamb of God, the perfect lamb that was to be slain once and for all for the forgiveness of sins. Salvation can not be obtained by doing good things. All that does is make you a good person, not a Christian. When you accept His death and resurrection in your heart and ask Him to come in and save you from your sins and be your Lord, you will be born again. You Must be born again per Jesus. Then you will be no longer under the condemnation of sin and are assured of eternal life. You will be thrilled to know all the aspects of the wonderful things that the Christian will be experiencing. Jesus is coming again one day and some of us will not die but will be raised up alive. Those who die in the meantime will be resurrected into His presence until the new earth and heaven are revealed. Read John, Romans, I Thessalonians, etc. God bless you in your journey to God.
