you need to wait ATLEAST 2 weeks to change the jewelry and do not go back to this person the straight jewelry he put in is called a nose bone-it should only be used for a HEALED piercing and even then it's a POS jewelry as it has a bead on one end which is larger than the wearing surface=stretching out the hole, unnecessary. Also these are typically too short for a nostril as it WILL swell when pierced, go to a different studio and ask them to change it for you to a nostril screw. they can remove that jewelry and taper in a better piece-they will (hopefully) clean the area and jewelry better than you can to be sure you will not get an infection

You weren't clear about this – did you get this pierced or did you get a hole punched through with a gun? Yes, VERY different things, guns aren't piercing and are dangerous, it also means far different healing times.

If you did have your nose pierced then you should have been told by the person within the studio how long you had to leave it or have asked them yourself – they are trained for a very good reason.

A nose piercing will typically take 3 months or so to heal, ideally you should be keeping it in for that long, it is not so much infection you have to worry about if you have had it pierced properly, but the harm you could do if you do not allow it to heal as like with any injury to your body if not left alone it can scar and cause damage to skin tissue, nose piercings are also notorious for closing up because of the mucus membrane inside of the nose rather than skin.

You could change it now. Just put iodine, rubbing alchohol, or some other kind of disinfectant on the piercing when you do.

i don't know for sure but you probably need to leave it in the same amount of time for a piercing anywhere(ears, bellie button etc.)
