I'm not a cat expert, but yeah, it's really weird...
Maybe your cat just likes the taste of those things....
Or maybe he has some deficiencies in his/her diet and he/she is trying to introduce these things, to feel better....the really weird thing is: why cactus, coffee and CIGARETTES???
You'd better ask a vet. He'll probably be able to solve this problem.

Cats are wierd. Last night I had to chase down Lola (our kitty) because she found a wrapper to a fruit roll up and was eating the plastic, she also loves to eat toilet paper. My cat Amy loves the wrappers off my maxi pads (very embarressing to find them in the middle of the hallway,) Coco loves Altoids. Cats are just wierd. There is no real explaination, other then they are wierd. I would be careful about the cigarette butts and maybe try to also hide the coffee beans. It's like having a little kid, you have to put up a lot of things. Enjoy your kitties oddities, they give you something to laugh about :)

Cactus is sweet to the cat. But, I don't get the coffee beans and cig butts. But while none of these things is GOOD for a cat, the last two are BAD! Please keep those items away from the cat's reach. Buy him some treats he CAN have- cat grass, cat nip, etc. Get him- or make him- some kitty toys to keep him occupied and away from stuff that could kill him! Coffee grounds (and therefore I would think coffee BEANS) are consider poisonous to cats. See links below:

Your cat's personality. My entire life I've always had a cat(s). I even had a shy cat! One of my cats now is 'different'. She is in love with my husband, or at least his shirts. When he changes his shirt, my cat Grace tries to eat the armpit of the shirt. She'll rub her face on it, roll around on it, and eventually fall asleep on the shirt! I read some where that the reason why cats love catnip so much is because of the musky scent. And mens fragrance is a musky smell. Maybe cactus, coffee bean, and cigs have a scent that's attractive to your cat. Or maybe s(he) is only caught up with playing with it!

Some cats will eat just about anything, like dogs. One of my 19 once ate a couple of poly tail holders, fortunately he threw them up on the grass later. Definitely try to keep those things out of his/her reach.

I think a cat will eat just about anything. I had a cat to eat a button of one of my barbie dolls clothes a long time ago.

You need to change cat food...your cat needs something that it is not getting in it's diet.
Until you can find the problem....please keep all non-food foods hidden away so you do not accidentally poison your cat.

Sounds like you're sorta a slob about the house.
You are probably feeding the cat such terrible food (from the grocery store) that he is actually starving.

My cat used to eat the flowers off 'banana cacti', it didn't do any harm to him. You might want to stop the cigarette habit though.
