Muslims are supossed to represent .6% of America. Therefore, one would expect less than 1 in 100 posts here would be from a Muslim.
But whenever someone posts a question that has anything remotely to do with Islam, there is always a few people claiming to be Muslims who pounce on the opportunity to answer the question. Are people impersonating Muslims for fun? Or do Muslims defend their faith better than other groups?

The number is from Wikipedia, but even if there are 2% or higher there are still far too many so called Muslims on this site to be plausible.

This site is worldwide and something like 20% of the world's population are Muslims - evan allowing for the fact that a lot of Islamic countries don't have such widespread access to the internet as the US, there's still going to be a considerable number of Muslims on here - far more than 0.6%.

This could be possible. Read carefully what they say though, you can usualy see who's for real and who's not.
Or do Muslims defend their faith better than other groups?
Well, sadly, I think they are being forced to, with so much happening in the world, and a bunch of so called "Muslim extreemists" it's very hard for your average Muslim to sit back and see somone trash their faith, and have so many people in the planet bash the religion of Islam.
I sure don't hate or blame the Muslim next door, for all the crap happening in the world, I hope most of us here don't.

do you realise that this website can be accessed from all parts of the world? If not, the truth is you can access in anywhere as long as there is an internet connection. The correspondent on this website are not only americans but also all around the world who like to share their views. The muslims who answer the question may not be american but from all over the world.

i am a muslim from singapore and i did my post grads at india, so what. if u have a problem with me then , thats not my fault. but there are many people with muslim names on this domain who do not follow any religion but are here to create tension. and i'm sure u know who they are.
as far as defending faith is concerned, yes we are defending our faith and u should also stand up for what u beleive. try respecting jesus-pbuh and give him his due respects. just posing to be a religious person is not enough, u need to show it too, u had chances like Da Vinci premiere.,but many of u did enjoy the movie at theathers. but many muslims banned the movie, becoz we do not accept fasle propagandas against someone like jesus-pbuh.
may the peace and blessings of Allah be on u and may He guide u on the right path. may Allah protect u from Hellfire and may He show mercy on u.

I am Muslim living in the states...Don't you want to want to have an understanding of other people's religion and ideology. There are a lot of Muslim converts in U.S that are not accounted for.

it is just that islam is the only religion that is getting crap on here.
In these difficult times it is important to clarify thngs and not let the world wide web audience with biased views express their falsified points of view..
Acceptance through understanding.

The internet is "world wide web". so it doesn't really matter how much of america they represent. i think that number is wrong anyway.
