Yep, we are here. Yep, because of Jesus my Lord and the glorious son of God.
Why? Why don't you read the bible and find out?
Fine... Here's the super short version:
God, the three part trinity, is full of love, and wants someone to love, as well as wantrs someone who loves Him. Angels don't work, becuase they have to do what He says, even satan must kneel before God. So, humans. Humans have free will, and are no forced to love God, nor does God openly reveal Himself. Humans must long for God and seek Him out; those that love Him, seek His face and follow His voice. Etc... etc... We sin though, so becuase God is fair and just, and we break His laws by deliberetly disobeying quite often, we deserve death. Since He loves us so much, He gave Himself/His-son willingly in our place, and His just laws allow that. So we are pure once more. We live our lives for Him according to our faith in Him, and converse with Him. When we die, we'll join Him in heaven, and eventually, the real Zion, also known as Earth 2, or the New Earth. (Basicly, the same earth, but we'll have a thousand years of peace after Jesus' second coming to fix it up, and then everyone is judged according to her or his works. Does the good outway the bad? For most of us, yes, becuase Jesus, justly and fairly, wiped out our sins.
Etc... Etc... Go read the bible. If it's too much of a duanting task, skip to the new testament first, or read first and second kings, and Samuel.

People were born and lived their lives out thousands of years before Jesus was born. Nor did he do anything that saved the human race from extinction. We'd still exist if he had never been born. The world would definitely be a different place, but we'd still be here.

I love Jesus, He suffered for my sins. Because of Jesus I'm here walking with Him. Because of Jesus we have eternal life if we except Him as our personal Savior.
