I live in a small town without any color of any kind so all the police do here is hassle the druggies and people who ignore the law.

2 words. Cincinnati, Ohio.
A couple of years ago there were riots in Cincinnati, over the fact that a white officer had shot and killed a black subject who the cop said was supposedly armed, but come to investigate, the subject was holding his wallet in his hand when he was shot. There has been some racial tension between white officers and black citizens there for many years now.
The area I live and work in, there isn't any racial tension between any of the officers and citizens. Occasionally there will be a citizen who will rant about racism, but they're usually guilty of an offense anyways and is just using the black vs white thing to stir the pot. I work in law enforcement, in an undercover environment, so usually I see the offense take place. I personally haven't had it happen to me, and I'm always professional with any citizen I stop, no matter if they're white, black, latino, purple, green or orange. Everybody gets the same amount of respect and courtesy with me.

Quite the contrary here, and I live in the South. Police officers here where I live now and where I've lived before, have been very professional in their dealings with the different races and the opposite gender. I always heard "gossip" to the opposite, but everytime I've witnessed an interaction between black officers and white citizens, and white officers and black citizens, either being of whichever gender, I've seen nothing but the utmost professionalism. It makes me proud to be an American citizen to see such professional behavior wherein I most likely would lose my cool. God Bless you.

I have no idea. If it does happen, it must not happen often. I live in a large city, and there's never been any media attention on it. I haven't been hassled, myself.

Just as there are good and bad people...there are good and bad cops who misuse their guns and their badge.
