So did Hitler. He was an avid fan of Nietzsche and tried to implement is "super" man race idea. That is, that a race of superior men should arise to replace God. That worked well, didn't it? The only good thing I can say about Nietzsche is at least he was consistent. He believed that if God is eliminated, you cannot hang onto the morals and values that came with God.

"So did Hitler. He was an avid fan of Nietzsche and tried to implement is "super" man race idea. That is, that a race of superior men should arise to replace God."--Hitler was a Methamphetamine addict, and so this would give a little insight into why he thought we could make a super race. He was also sexually deviant and obsessive compulsive. Had to comment on that. Thx, Brother...
So on to my answer, being that I didn't need Nietsche to tell me that God is alive inside me, everyone else, and everything around me. But there is a quote I find to be very enlightening, and it goes thus- “Out of damp and gloomy days, out of solitude, out of loveless words directed at us, conclusions grow up in us like fungus: one morning they are there, we know not how, and they gaze upon us, morose and gray. Woe to the thinker who is not the gardener but only the soil of the plants that grow in him.” (Nietsche) This can be applied to both the believer and the unbeliever. The Theistic God, in my belief, has been killed by the religiousities that humans have. (Not to mention all the humans killed in the name of such.) Not killed as in not existing, but that God is dead in so many hearts that it will take the knowing that God resides inside you to bring Her back.
There should not be a "new" god. We need to have a new perception of God.
Blessed Be.

We should not have any gods.
But I agree about humanism, and nietzsche was a very interesting philosopher, but to self-centerd for my tastes.
