Many of his "followers" love to spit venom and believe hateful things about other religions and it's leaders. I don't think any other religion in the world does this... does Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Confusionism, Shinto, Zoroastrism, Wiccan, Athiesm, Agnostism, Native American traditions, African Traditions, Autralian Traditions, Aluiit? .. it seems like just Christians. I don't hate Christians, but want to understand why many followers take this stance of hatred and condescending attitude.

I noticed Mike who answered below also wrote his first paragraph as a complete lie about Islam and the Holy Prophet Muhammad. The last words of Muhammad were not what he wrote, so I know he is one of the hateful Christians that my question is about.

I'm not a Christian but I read the book and as I remember, there was very few instances where Jesus had anything to do with people of other faiths (i.e non-Jews).
The few instances that I remember are:
- with a young woman (I think by a well) who asks for healing and Jesus says something like the blessings are for the children, not the dogs. She says something like even the dogs get scraps from the table, and he heals her;
- a Roman soldier who has a sick son asks Jesus to heal his son. Jesus says something like show me where he is, and the soldier says something like I'm a soldier and I have people under me, if I give the order to an underling, it will be carried out - you can do the same thing, you don't have to go to my house. Jesus tells the people that the Roman soldier is more of a believer than the Jews.

There are also many instances where Jesus criticises the leaders of his own tradition (scribes, pharisees).

So, all in all I would have to conclude that Jesus was not hateful to other traditions.

I can't quote from the Christian book, so I relied on my (faulty) memory. Christians, please forgive any mistakes I made.

1. Do you have any clue how many Christians there are in the world? Heh. Do you? In the USA, it's over 100 million. And around the world, huge, huge numbers!

2. Do you also know that Christians vary. There are so many different kinds of Christians, it isn't funny. Then you have the kind that are not associated with any group whatsoever, yet, cling to Jesus.

Therefore, your statement is just going to wind up targeting too many innocents...even if someone did do wrong. It's too large a group, with too many divisions for you to blame the whole, for the actions of a few. Not to mention, I don't even know what statements were made, etc.

PS. Also, you have to see in what context the statements were made. If a preacher stands in front of his congregation or on a Christian channel and speaks against Islam or some other false religion, he is not incorrect to do so because he is teaching his congregation. Under that sort of scenario, how is he doing wrong? On the contrary, he must!

Thank you for your question and I feel it is genuine.

First, Islam wishes to eliminate democracy and wipe Israel, Europe and America off the face of the map. Fundamental Islam has the goal of killing the Christian and Jew. After all, Muhammad's dying words were, "May Allah curse the Christian and Jew."

Now, some "Christians" are very hateful - and this is not a correct representation of Jesus Christ. Jesus taught a message of love, but also correction. Keep in mind, Jesus taught more about Hell than He did Heaven. It wasn't to scare people - it was because so many of this world are on the path there and it is a reality.

The faithful in Christ need to be loving, yet bold and unfailing in their faith. They should not worry about being PC. This is a problem for many and good Christians will often be accused of hate speech, when in reality they are simply quoting Jesus Christ.

It is a reflection of our society -- that 'I'm not doing anything wrong because I am not hurting anyone. Don't you dare tell me I'm sinning.'

The judging is for Jesus and the sharing is for His faithful - some people take issue with this.

No, Jesus was not hateful. I really dislike when fellow Christians behave so belligerently when speaking of other faiths. This is a huge source of embarrassment for me, because the actions of a few ignorant souls casts a hateful light on all Christians. In my community, I live, work, study, and eat beside Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, and atheist alike. I don’t hate anyone, or nag them with conversions as some of my peers do. I have learned to Honor and respect all others, and their wishes, as I respect and honor myself, despite our differences. However, I do not think it is fair to categorize all Christians this way. Nor is it justified to generalize all non Christians as Victims. We are all humans, and we all make choices.

Well, being brought up a Christian, let me answer your question.
Christians are taught all of their lives that we are the only way and that no other way is good, that all other religions are lies. We are also taught that we are supposed to be messengers, we're supposed to tell everyone else about Jesus and his message to us. Therefore, stupid people go around taking stances of hatred, even though they've been taught to be kind always. Whatever, they're idiots, ignore them. Also, Atheism isn't exactly a religion, it's the lack of a religion. Sorry, I'm OCD.

According to the original myth, no. He was even paitent with the religious leaders of his day...and they were dead set against his disruption of the status quo. As for Christians spewing venom...they are not the only ones that do this. Many of the faiths that you mentioned have bile enough to go around, believe me.

Christianity is not a religion. All religions are false except for christianity and it requires us to be truthful. Therefore, disagreeing with religions of the world makes us seem different. But that is what God wants; for his people to be different.

considering the fact he allowed one of them to put him to death, no. He could of killed them all, but he didn't.

WHOA, WHOA, WHOA!!! Mike make one f*cking mistake so you automatically presume he's a christian? Let alone a hateful one. And YOU MUST BE perfectly right.... Muslims don't hate Christians to the point their ready to kill themselves to take down a few christians in the process.... no, no... I must be mistaken... SUICIDAL CARBOMBERS?? I haven't seen any christian suicidal Car bombers... have you? Not to mention the fact that Atheists aren't rude to christians every chance they get.... NO, NO... i MUST be MISTAKEN. Wait, so Muhhamad the muslim hitler, DID in fact STATE at one point in time "May Allah CURSE CHRISTIANS and JEWS". I guess this could be considered hateful and be called venom.... and WAIT... is this actually appointed to a religion other than Christianity??
Yes, yes i think it is.

HATE THE SIN NOT THE SINNER.

that means we, as christians, should love everyone... gays, muslims, etc.

My God is Jehavah, my savior is Jusus-they are number one and number two in the universe-then come their angels, and there is no one else. Sorry, if you don't follow them, then the life you enjoy today because of their loving kindness is the only life you will ever enjoy. There is no one else, there will never be anyone else, Jehovah will not share his might and glory with no other gods....KECK

Jesus was about LOVE...read his words...forget about humans..as a rule, they are angry, and its just so crazy...most people have no idea what He taught. However, at this point in time, it seems that followers of mohammad are the ones who are engaged in murder, mayhem and destructon...I changed my ideas about islam when I realized they want to kill my kids... peace...to mankind...
