These places are like concentration camps for dogs. I would think people who are religious would be more sympathetic towards sentient creatures that feel fear and pain. For those who are not aware of this, see this link:

I realize that people other than the Amish run puppy mills. It just seems to me that it is so prominent among the Amish.

I'm aware of it and it makes me sick. I am involved in organizations to put a stop to puppy mills. While alot of different people are involved in them, it seems that at least half of the Amish are involved in puppy mills.

Edit to the guy above me: I am not a city person. I'm born and raised in rural Pennsylvania.

I will not look at your link. But, just because a person is Amish (or Catholic, or atheist, or educated) does not necessarily make them sympathetic towards animals-or anyone else. I know there are puppy mills that belong to people who are not Amish.
Amish make good jelly.

Too bad we can't get an answer from an Amish person. They can't have electricity, let alone computers.

Amish folks are quite different...when you have some time, do some research and you'll find there's more to their behavior than what you see.

I was aware that the Amish don't regard animals as pets, but I had never heard of this before. That is horrific and should be stopped. Thanks for the info.

I don't think the Amish are involved in puppy mills.

I been to that sale in Millersburg, Ohio...it's not bad at all...it sounds like some animal nut cases are stirring up trouble. Animals are not people...they are animals. City people always think they are just like us...sorry but they are not.
