We just recently adopted a miniture pinscher from a shelter. He is a great dog other then the fact that he chases my cats and no matter what I do he won't stop. He also chases birds, frogs (which are poisinous and almost killed him Mon night), lizards, and anything else that moves. I need help not only for the cats piece of mind but to keep him safe. Please only serious answers-thanks

You're trying to break a habit and you need to be consistent and quick in correcting the dog. Stop him and say "no" firmly every time he chases something. Do not use his name when correcting him or he will associate his name with bad feelings. Praise him after you let him go and he does not continue chasing. That's where I would start.
