I bet your thinking that my claim cant be true, well it is. The Israelites when they were with God in the wilderness (book of Exodus) he appeared to them as a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. Even then they soon began to doubt God after all they had seen him do (crossing the red sea, plagues on Egypt, manna from the sky, etc)
If u dont believe the bible is the word of God read this:http://www.gotquestions.org/Bible-God-Word.html

Good point! Sometimes I wrack my brain talking to ppl on hear trying to spread God's word in a nonthreatening way and yet I get attacked! I believe that some ppl just have hard hearts and I hate that has to be. What I would give to be able to see and hear from God like those ppl did:)

The inerrant nature of the Bible is one of those things we non-believers doubt. We think that it contains historical narrative and fantasy in mixture, and that the divine manifestations you speak of are definitely among the fantasies written into your scriptures. In other words, God didn't appear to the Israelites as a cloud or as a pillar. An ancient Hebrew, who probably lived long after the events he was writing about, claimed falsely that this was so.

You, of course, insist that the Bible is the Word of God and so, of course, everything in it must be true, just like it says. But that's YOU. It's NOT us. We don't begin our thinking with your assumptions.

If you want to convince anyone who wasn't already brainwashed into your doctrine, then you're going to have to find premises that the non-believer can test and satisfy himself that they are true and that, furthermore, you use them validly to make of them what you do.

And you'd better not cheat as you go about doing this. Not in the slightest. If you cheat, even once, we will assign your credibility the value of zero and not listen to you further on the assumption that it would be a waste of time.

Hey that's not an action of a Good God. Just showing some magic, horrors and kill His own creations, That was cruel. I think If He could show himself as light and mighty on the sky. Talked to the public and Give some speech on CNN. Come to Oprah's Show and talk. Show many miracles and change this world to 2nd heaven. Stop the war, it's the most effective and easy way to convert all unbelievers. He is Good so He will save His creations. All of that are soo easy for a Good God, am i Right?

So,just because they did it,I would too?I'm not an Israelite. No,you're right.I don't and if I saw him,I would start to doubt after a while.I mean, look at everything we think we know, then we're PROVEN wrong.A lot.I still believe in Santa, though.I mean,11 months out of 12,most people are total jerks. Then for about a month, almost everyone is nice.Scary.Gotta be the Clause!

It's funny how people insist that the bible is the word of god by alluding to proof primarily contained WITHIN THE BIBLE ITSELF!
Talk about a logical fallacy!
For those who so firmly believe in god: Did you know that no matter how many times your arguments are debunked, you will insist on your righteousness, beyond a shadow of a doubt?

The Bible is a collection of folk tales; not God's word. And you say that God's image is that of a pillar of cloud or fire? I thought that we were made in God's image.

that has nothing to do with their doubt of His existence. they just chose to worship other gods because they had a crappy attitude. they were whiny, ungrateful, negative and disobedient to the God of moses, Yahweh. what was to be an 11 day journey took 40 years!!! does that tell you something about those people! moses probably thought he was leading preschoolers through the dessert. but all i can say is that on judgment day, all non believers will will see God and will will know He exists when they bow down before Him professing that He is God just before the angels of heaven toss them into the fiery pit for eternity. believe that and don't doubt it.

I have seen some of my Gods and I don't doubt them. Why would I? My Gods are real and will actually come and talk to you face to face. You can ask Them questions and They will answer them or show you. I guess you aren't always right with that statement are you?

If I don't believe in him, and some guy shows up and says "HEY, I'm god" of course I'm not going to believe this guy is god. SO YEAH, pretty obvious that i would soon doubt his existence since clearly i nev er believed it in the first place.
