I have had one swollen tonsil for a month now and my lymph nodes in my neck are swollen. i have taken 10 days penicillian with no results. with in the last week my inside gum under my tongue on the same side has gotten bigger. all the symptoms are on the same side but i feel fine just very worried.

Go to the doctor.
Sounds like Mono to me.
Usually has about a 60 day incubation period, and it doesn't respond to penicillin.
A simple blood test would confirm this.

If penicillin didn't do the trick, then maybe you have a viral infection. I had similar symptoms and I did have a virus.

i definately suggest seeing a doctor. maybe you need your tonsil taken out? so yeah. go see a doctor, they have MD after their name for a reason!

It could be a bacterial or viral infection. Each infection is treated differently.You should contact your doctor.

you can find out lots of info there to try to solve the problem yourself. otherwise, you might need to see a doctor :(
