Whatever you do stay away from moisturizers that are scented, opt to use thing such as Luberderm, etc.
Another excellent healing product that can be used is Polysporn cream, stay away from the ointment or aloe directly from the plant.
Really the best person to ask is your radiologist that can recommend other products. Personally just bear with the symptoms your body is a healing machine and within time will heal itself, just kept it clean. Just like a sunburn, the skin is compromised and your body is more susceptible to infections.

My partner just finished 5 weeks of radiation 5 days a week (lung cancer) and is burnt quite badly on her chest and back... the itch is driving her insane. I got some pure aloe gel and it seems to help... also Gold Bond powder takes the itch out. Now that it is healing somewhat, she likes Noxema.. moisturizes and cools it. It is coming along nicely now and the itch isn't qite as intense.

I haven't had cancer or radiation, but a lot of people who come into our shop have. Apparently it's like having a bad sunburn! Moisture is probably one of the best things you can do for yourself. We sell Jean's Cream, which is especially for radiation patients. We also sell the Lindi skin care line, which is for cancer patients and people with very sensitive and/or compromised skin. Get some moisture onto your skin and see if that helps!

A relative of mine had that problem. Try moisturizing or maybe the dr. can prescribe something. Vaseline Intensive Care moisturizing cream works well and is inexpensive. It's at WalMart and probably just about anywhere.

I sure did. And I got shingles too. I tried Calamine lotion, it would work for a while, and also Gold Bond lotion. Check with your doc. There may be a prescription med that is stronger, that you will be able to take.
