You should go for it and ask him. If you don't you'll always wonder what if...
Plus he may feel the same about you. He may wanna ask you out
but is kind of nervous too.

Ask him if he is going to homecoming. Because if he says yes you won't get embarrassed.
If he says no, ask him why? He might say he's too shy to ask, or he asked a girl and she said no, or he doesn't have the money, or he thinks it's stupid.
Tell him you'd like to go to the homecoming, and ask him if he'd like to go with you as a friend. That way, the pressure is off of him to perform et al.
Then once you get there, have a great time with your friend, and if something clicks, that's great, if not, you had a wonderful night out with a special guy.

ask him to go as friends, and then make a move at the dance, like kiss him or something. that was you surprize him! then he'll probably fall for u. if not then just him it was just a kiss and that he shouldn't make a big deal about it. (act like u do it all the time, but not in a slutty way)
