I doubt that it has anything to do with her being spayed. Sounds like she has either gotten something in her eye, or she could have developed an eye infection. I think if it were an allergic reaction that both eyes would be infected. I'm glad you're taking her back to the vet. GOOD LUCK!

It probably doesn't have anything to do with the spay, but she could have gotten something from the other kitties at the vet. I AM SO GLAD TO HEAR YOU ARE TAKING HER TO THE VET! I hate it when people come on here to look for advice on getting around a vet bill. Is it just one eye or both eyes? If it's just one eye I would say it's an infection of some sort, maybe something got in it and scratched it. If it's both it's probably a URI or allergies. Good luck and I hope kitty is okay!

i say it is an eye infection. the vet will give the cat some anti-botics to kill the bacterica. probably has nothing to do with getting spayed. but its a good thing that your taking her in.

Often when a cat is stressed. being spayed would stress any cat. they will often develope a URI this is probably whats going on with your cat. Do take her into the vets. he will probably give her a antibiotic.

She may have contracted a disease at the vet's office while she was there for her spaying procedure. I'm glad to hear you are taking her back.....I hope she will be well. Give her a big hug and kiss from me.

If after the pussing & everything stops, & the eye is discolored, like a dark amber color; she might have been scrached by another cat. Was there any time she might bave been around another cat you didn't see?

she could have scratched her eyes on something or have an infection. probably not related to being fixed.
