I've posted a link below to the tub that we use. Our daughter is almost 8 months old now and this tub is still good for bathtime. It's not too expensive and will grow with your son.
It's really a good buy.
Good luck.

I use to take my daughter's in the tub with me when they were 2 big for the baby tub but not sitting up yet.Another way is to get one of those baby seats for a regular tub that holds them in place(do not leave them alone in it) it stick's to the tub with suction cups.

My little guy was a very LARGE baby, I found out that the best way to wash him and not have to balance him and a bar of soap was to run a shallow bath and place his mesh bouncy seat ( the ones that sit on the floor and they just set in the motion of them bounces the wire frame) in the tub and place him him in it, it has a safty belt as well as a mesh back so the water can flow freely through it. Try it, Its a cheap easy fix for a big baby.

You can put him into a big tub, you just need to hold him while he is in there. Take that time to have him half lie down, hold his head, wash him and play with him, use this time as your and his time to bond and connect. Besides him getting clean.
Don't use one of those tub seats, they are dangerous, tip over
easily, you need to sit there anyway, so you might as well do the above.

I used the kitchen sink until my son was big enough for the tub

I think that I would use either the kitchen sink or the bathroom sink. I honestly don't like the baby bath seats these to me are dangerous and a baby can slip fast and to me they can slip down under them and get caught especially if you are not paying attention. The kitchen sink gets my vote.

Take him into the tub or shower with you. Babies LOVE it and it's very relaxing for them to be in there with a parent.
