I asked if you guys did those thing in Jarhead, like fighting with each other, drinking for days, months at a time, IS your M16 more important then your wife??

Well as for me being in the first gulf war.... we fought with each other in my squad but it was more-less nothing serious.... there were times that we did drink allot for then what we probably should have but we didn't drink for months at a time.....during my time over there i more-less tried too stay fit and in shape and get accustom too the heat.....as for my M-16 yes it was more important too me while I was over there ....I had too take care of it like my life depended on it, because it did .......
When you go through things that went on over there seeing the dead bodies all charred up and smoldering it tends too get too you so some of us would drink too help with things.......
You will here a lot of people say things about they think when on over there but unless you have been there having people firing on you trying too kill you and your fellow marines...you or they who complain about things wouldn't know jack about what went on...
When I came home after the war I had to many people saying things about how we were so unfair too them....that we just went over there for oil..... they don't know what the hell there talking about.....I went over there because it was my job....I am a marine that is my job to do what my country ask me too do for it ...to provide the freedoms that most here take for granted!

The Marines are like any other large family; they will squabble amongst themselves, but don't interfere because they will unite and you will be up against the BEST FIGHTING FORCE IN THE WORLD!!!

I am Army, and they do fight each other, and we do not fight them because they are tough, they fight for our county and do it well l am PROUD. They are Jarheads because of the hair cut only
